2019 NATIONAL GRAINS AND FODDER COMPETITION IMPORTANT INFORMATION CLOSING DATE OF ENTRIES FRIDAY, 7 JUNE 2019 at 5.00 pm DELIVERY AND COLLECTION OF EXHIBITS IN ALL GRAIN & FODDER CLASSES The Society will, as far as is practicable and convenient, pick up from the property of the exhibitor a MINIMUM SAMPLE OF 3 KG OR A 10 LITRE CONTAINER PER ENTRY for judging and display (for contact names refer below). UNDERWEIGHT ENTRIES MAY BE DISQUALIFIED. Small Seeds: 1kg sample only required per entry. The sample will be taken and tagged: 1. Direct from the header as a commercial sample or from a bulk of at least 5 tonnes for cereals, 3 tonnes for pulses and oil seeds by a member of the Grains & Fodder Committee, a Society representative or by the Grower. 2. Or a sample may be drawn at a grain receival site by a representative of that company, grower or carrier. Exhibitors must nominate the class entered. • A MINIMUM SAMPLE OF AT LEAST THREE KILOGRAMS OR A 10 LITRE CONTAINER PER ENTRY PER CLASS IS REQUIRED except SMALL SEEDS ONE KILOGRAM SAMPLE PER ENTRY. • Interstate exhibitors will be required to forward their exhibits to the Showground at own cost. • All samples must have tags attached stating which class they are to be entered in. • To avoid any complications all tags to be attached using products which can be untied and then re-tied. • Cable ties are strongly discouraged but products such as tie wire, fencing wire etc would be appropriate. • Samples should be supplied in a porous bag, eg calico bag. Not plastic bags. • Calico grain bags and extra tags can be requested at any time to ensure samples are received correctly. DELIVERY OF EXHIBITS All samples must be delivered to the Adelaide Showground on or before Friday 12th July It is the Exhibitors responsibility to contact the nearest Committee person to organise collection as well as note the request on the entry form.
