New Gentle Yoga Class for Galleywood! Hello, my name is Clare Goggin. I am a student yoga teacher (with the British Wheel of Yoga) and I have recently set up my first yoga class in Keene Hall on Tuesday mornings. Please drop me an email at simplyyogawithclare@outlook.com if you have any questions or would like to try a class. If you can’t make Tuesdays, do still contact me, as I am hoping to offer new classes soon and can keep you informed. Class details: Tuesdays 9:30-11 am (term- time only) in the Lodge Room at Keene Hall, I am a local mum of two (who lives in Tile Watchouse Road. £8 per class (pay-as-you-go). Kiln on the other side of the park) and Mats and props provided. Spaces are limited, first practiced yoga in 2002, when I was at so please contact me to book your place. university. As someone who has never been naturally athletic or flexible, I enjoyed the mixture of physical challenge and getting to lie down at the end! After I had my first child in 2013, I returned to yoga with a new awareness. I felt really tired, not very strong and had lots of aches and pains. I developed a much more gentle and restorative practice, which meant that rather than feeling depleted after each practice, I actually had more energy! And eventually decided to embark on my teacher training, so that I could help others feel the same. I truly believe that if you can breathe, you can practice yoga! If you have ever been curious about yoga, but been worried about your knees, hips or wrists, please know that this is really common, and there are many ways that the practice can be adapted to make it accessible to all. Alternatively, if you practice other exercise (such as running or sport), yoga can really help to reduce the likelihood of injury and offer beneficial active rest. 26 Galleywood Grapevine

Do Share a Story with Some One – Tony Allen Everyone has a story to tell and Tony Allen, who lived in Keene Way for 39 Years, invites you to share some of your tales with others. Perhaps you can discover from his personal stories what was his earliest recollection as a child! Tony says enjoy these tales and do share jokes and memories with him if you meet and don’t forget to SMILE when you encounter each other. His email address is: tonyallengoby@gmail.com or telephone 01245 255432 or you can whisper a joke to him when he is not at prayer in the Cathedral! where he acts as a pastoral assistant. He hopes Farleigh Hospice will benefit from your stories and sympathy My, they must be true! In his case he hopes Farleigh Hospice will benefit from the publication of this little book so he invites you to share a story or idea with someone you meet. One of the saints must have said that making people laugh is good for the soul! If you enjoy a joke you retain it in your brain to make other smile through life. What a difference it makes if you can share a joke or ditty with a person you meet and greet. Scientists in USA (where a third of Tony’s family live permanently) have discovered recently that all memories before the age of 3 years, are pure fiction.
