Join our co-founder on a special small group gastronomic journey across Northern
Spain. You could call it an active gourmet food tour walking thru some amazing
landscapes... mountain trails, coastal paths, wine country roads, etc... We have added
in a mix of experiences that will keep your taste buds excited, starting off with the
famed Basque cuisine our welcome dinner in Bilbao will be a hands-on pintxo cooking
class with our local chef. What better way to get to know each other in our small group!
During our trip we will visit important wine regions in Spain eg; Rioja, Rias
Baixas... even Vinho Verde in Portugal. We will walk some scenic portions
of the Camino de Santiago French way. Culinary experiences include;
learning how apple cider and cabrales cheeses are made in Asturias, hands-on
cooking classes with local Galician chef, Michelin-starred dining and much
more... Ending our journey of Northern Spain in the urban coastal city of
Vigo.

Spend a week with our co-founder savouring the seafood, wines and more of Galicia's
Southern coast and wine country. Our small group food, wine and walking journey
starts in the urban coastal city of Vigo, Europe's largest fishing port and second in
the world behind Tokyo. No better way to introduce you to the region than a welcome
dinner at a Michelin-starred restaurant and a cocktail at the skyline bar of our hotel
with amazing night views of the bay, a great way to start our memorable trip.
Youwill see the contrasts of the blue Atlantic coast and green river valleys of Galicia, swine
country. Walking coastal trails, vineyard and riverside paths, even crossing a bridge into
Northern Portugal's Vinho Verdewine region. The gastronomy changes quite drastically from
the coast to inland Galicia. An abundance of seafood and fish on the coast like; Pulpo (Octopus),
Vieiras (Scallops), etc... Then inland, youwill be able to try smoked/dried lamprey eel, a
technique used since roman times! Fabulous cheeses, tender meats like; Porco Celta (Galician
Celtic Pig) that feed on the chestnuts, or the Ternera Rubia Galega (Galician blond beef) praised
as the best beef in Spain!
