We reserve the right to cancel your reservation if payment is not received in a timely manner. Deposits & Cancellations: Since we are obligated to make financial commitments to my suppliers prior to a tour's departure based on your anticipated participation, we have instituted the following reservation & cancellation policies: Daytrips: Full payment is due 45 days prior to the trip, and is Refundable up to 14 days prior to the trip Daytrips with ticketed events (theatre, show, or ballgame): Shows under $ 100 require full payment to reserve, shows over $ 100 require $ 75 per person to reserve Balance is due 60 days prior to the trip and is Non-refundable unless your ticket is resold Overnight motorcoach trips: $ 75 per person deposit to reserve space. Balance is due 45 days prior to departure. Payments are refundable up to 30 days prior to departure. Overnight motorcoach trips with ticketed events (theatre, show or ballgame): A $ 100 per person, non-refundable deposit is required to reserve. Balance is due 60 days prior to the trip Deposit will be refunded if your ticket is resold, and the balance is refundable up to 31 days prior to departure For longer overnight trips & cruises, and trips including airfare – please check the individual fliers for deposit and cancellation policies TRIP CANCELLATION INSURANCE is available for all trips. For daytrips, insurance is $7 per person for all trips that do not involve theater. Theater daytrip’s insurance cost is $14 per person. All multi-day trip insurance costs are dependent on the cost of the trip and your age. Please call us for more information. Walking Guide - We have included a walking guide, which you’ll find at the end of each tour description: A trip with minimal walking A trip that includes moderate walking at your own pace A trip that includes extended periods of walking or guided walking tours. On some tours, you may be able to omit portions of the tour that are too physical for you. As always, if you have any questions about the tour, don’t hesitate to call. Trips with this icon are shorter in length - 8 hours or less from the bridge (9 hours or less from Dennis) Customary end-of-tour gratuities are included for the driver, escort and local tour guide (when a step-on guide is hired), wait staff, and baggage handlers. Gratuities for hotel housekeeping staff are not included unless otherwise noted on your itinerary, and a basic gratuity of $ 2-3 per person, per day is customary
3 Pickup locations: Our Hyannis pickup is at the commuter lot behind Burger King at exit 6 off Route 6. This is NOT the Burger King parking lot, as they will tow any vehicles left there for an extended time. Park in the commuter lot and wait at the enclosures for the bus – please be sure that you are parked in a legal parking spot – if you are on the grass or outside of the marked parking spots, you will be issued a parking citation. The police patrol this lot and will ticket/tow any car that is parked illegally. As always, parking is at your own risk at any of our pickup locations. 1. Patriots Square, Route 134, Dennis 2. Barnstable Commuter lot, Route 132, Hyannis – if you find that there are no remaining legal parking places, please proceed to either Sagamore or Dennis (if you have time) to meet the bus – do NOT go to the Hyannis Transportation Center 3. Sagamore Commuter lot, at the foot of the Sagamore Bridge Your requested pickup location will be printed on your sales receipt or invoice. Please arrive at least 10 minutes prior to the departure time and call the office if you decide to change to a different pickup location. Assigned Seating - In the interest of fairness to those boarding in Hyannis & Sagamore as well as our handicapped passengers, we assign seats on the bus, as they do on the airlines, on a first-come, first- serve basis. If you are traveling with friends and signing up separately, be sure to let us know who you are traveling with so that we can seat you next to each other. Single travelers will be given their own seats if space allows or may be seated with another single traveler. Office Hours - The office is open Monday through Friday between 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM. If you get our voicemail when you call, please leave a message and we will return your call – most times we are in the office but simply on the other line helping another customer. Be sure to check out our website for more information, including departure & return times for each trip and links to video clips. Signing up for a trip is easy – simply call us with your name, phone number, number of seats needed, and pick-up location. The person that made the reservation will receive an invoice 6-7 weeks prior to the trip with departure times and any balance due listed. If you are mailing in a payment, please keep the lower portion for your records, as your pickup time & location are printed on the invoice. For an overnight trip, you will receive a mailing with your itinerary and luggage tags approximately 30 days prior to your trip. Senior Center Signups - If you sign up through a Senior Center, please send your payment to the Senior Center, and they will forward it to us. You will not receive an invoice from us for the trip - your Senior Center will contact you for payment and inform you of departure times. For overnight trips, you will receive your itinerary and bag tags about 30 days prior to the trip. 4 August Waterfire, Date TBA Waterfire has become a true New England classic and is a lovely way to spend a summer evening. Enjoy a very special “behind the mask” tour at Studio Ten31; the company behind the bronze living statues that perform at Waterfire. The studio tour will include a close up show and tell on the costumes, a peek into the creative process behind the living statues and the unique opportunity to watch one of the performers transform into a bronze living statue with full makeup and costume. Before we depart the studio there will be time for photos with the performer. Enjoy time for dinner on your own at either Federal Hill or Providence Place Mall before we head to the riverfront. Nearly 100 bonfires illuminate the waters of the Providence River during this magical outdoor event. Walk the cobbled riverbank walkways as the fire-stokers glide through the water in gondolas, lighting the wooden fires. The fires dance on the waters and fill the air with the scent of burning cedar logs as music from a variety of cultures and rhythms echo from the Venetian-style bridges. Waterfire schedule should be out shortly, please call our office for the date $85 Cape Cod Canal Live Music Cruise, Sunday August 8 - We will begin with a tour of the Cape Cod Canal Visitor Center, led by a Park Ranger. Learn about the Canal and how the Corps ensures safe navigation through the waterway, including real-time radar & camera images of vessels transiting the Canal. We will also watch the 20-minute film presentation “Canal Story”, to learn about the history and operation of the canal including historic photos of the Canal’s construction. We will enjoy a delicious lunch at the popular Buzzard’s Bay Italian restaurant, The Mezza Luna. Then, board our ship for a 2 ½ hour Cruise on the Cape Cod Canal to listen to live music by Harry French, and see many points of interest on the Canal, including Taylor Point, Mass Maritimes’ Training ship, and Gray Gables. $ 115 Boston Symphony Orchestra at Tanglewood featuring Yo Yo Ma, Sunday, August 8 - Enjoy a day out at Tanglewood, summer home of the Boston Symphony Orchestra. The BSO will be conducted by Karina Canellakis. Featured performer will be famed cellist Yo-Yo Ma who has enjoyed a prolific career as both a soloist performing with orchestras around the world and a recording artist with more than 90 albums and 18 Grammy Awards. The orchestra will be performing Missy Mazzoli’s Sinfonia, Tchaikovsky’s Variations on a Rococo Theme, and Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 4. We have shed seating (section 11,13,17) for the 2:30 PM concert, and you’ll have time in Stockbridge before the show for lunch & shopping. $125
5 Salem by Sea, Thursday, August 12 - Start our adventure on the water as we take the fast ferry service to Salem. Soak in the summer sun or relax on the covered deck as our ferry journeys from Boston to Salem. Once we arrive in Salem, stroll Essex Street - browse the shops, take in the seaside sights, and enjoy lunch on your own at the Essex Street Pedestrian Mall. End the day with a visit to the Peabody Essex Museum. Browse outstanding works from the 1700s to today: paintings, sculptures, photographs, drawings, textiles, architecture and decorative objects. Their recent expansion and new galleries feature Maritime Art, Asian Exports, Fashion & Design, and the creative legacy of Nathaniel Hawthorne. The PEM will be featuring temporary exhibit “In American Waters” with a study of maritime paintings. Return to the Cape by motorcoach. $ 109 Block Island Lobster Bake, Monday, August 16 - Explore Block Island’s picturesque scenery of bluffs and gently rolling hills, grassy moors and bayberry covered fields. The island is known for its nature walks, great beaches, wildflowers, historic lighthouses, and miles of stone walls and rolling terrain. Block Island has been referred to as the "Bermuda of the North" mixed with old New England charm. Take the morning ferry to Block Island departing from Point Judith, RI, where we will enjoy a bus tour of the island and a New England Lobster Bake on the front porch of the National Hotel, which overlooks the harbor, including clam chowder, salad, steamed lobster (or filet mignon), mussels, potatoes & corn on the cob. Enjoy free time downtown before our ferry departs to browse the shops. $159 Lighthouses & Lobsters, Thursday, August 19 - Travel to Ogunquit, Maine to browse the quaint shops and boutiques that line both sides of the Main Street and enjoy lunch on your own in Perkins Cove, a quaint little harbor that has been home to artists from around the world. Our 1½ hour narrated Nubble Lighthouse Cruise will offer us unsurpassed views of the elegant homes and rocky coastline - and a fantastic view of Nubble Lighthouse. After our cruise, we will drive to Nubble Lighthouse for an up-close view so don’t forget your camera! End the day with a delicious lobster dinner at Foster’s Downeast Clambake. Begun by Italian immigrants from Montefalcione, Italy in 1919, it has become the largest Italian Religious Festival in New England. Italian foods, a grand procession, music, festivities, games and continuous entertainment highlight this exceptional Feast on the beautifully decorated streets in the heart of Boston's historic North End. After the morning at the festival, relax aboard a 90-minute narrated cruise through Boston Harbor. Boston’s inner and outer harbors are awash in legend, lore & beauty. On this fully narrated cruise, we’ll hear hero tales of the Revolutionary War, local legends of the sea, and stories of characters past and present. You’ll learn how the harbor was transformed into one of the cleanest in the country. Other highlights include the nation’s oldest continuously manned lighthouse, the Harbor Islands National Park Area, Boston’s working port and examples of extravagant waterfront living. $ 89
Bar Harbor, Monday, August 30 – Wednesday, September 1 – 6 Mount Desert Island is the largest island off the coast of Maine, with a scenic rocky coast, quaint downtown, and Acadia National Park. Bar Harbor is known for its stunning coastal beauty, its many yachts and lobster boats, and its expansive ocean views. Our hotel is the Atlantic Oceanside Resort, situated on 12 acres of oceanfront property overlooking Frenchman's Bay. Amenities include stunning ocean views of Frenchman Bay, indoor and outdoor pools. DAY 1 - Travel to Bar Harbor, Maine and our oceanfront hotel, the Atlantic Oceanside Resort. We’ll take a two-hour, fully narrated Acadian Nature Cruise on Frenchman Bay in search of eagles, porpoises, & seals. Enjoy the breathtaking scenery of coastal Maine, the islands of Frenchman Bay, and the shoreline of Bar Harbor. A delicious DownEast Maine Lobster Dinner is included at the Resort. (D) DAY 2 - Enjoy the day at leisure - relax on your balcony by the water or take the Bar Harbor Trolley to shop downtown and walk the famous Shore Path in Bar Harbor. Beginning at the Town Pier and going past the Bar Harbor Inn, then continues south for about 1/2 to 3/4 of a mile along the eastern shore of Mount Desert Island to enjoy the ocean air, sailboats, and beautiful vistas. (B) DAY 3 - No trip to Bar Harbor would be complete without a visit to Acadia National Park. Its landscape is marked by woodland, rocky beaches, and glacier-scoured granite peaks such as Cadillac Mountain, the highest point on the United States’ East Coast. Our 2 ½-hour tour will feature three stops within Acadia National Park, the summit of Cadillac Mountain, Thunder Hole (an ocean-side stop), and Sieur De Monts Spring (Wild Gardens of Acadia). You'll have time at each stop for photos and to enjoy the spectacular views. We'll have time for lunch (on own) in downtown Bar Harbor before we head back to the Cape. Our conductor will explain the history of rail travel and point out local points of interest along the 12-mile, narrated round-trip train ride into the heart of the unspoiled Connecticut River Valley. The picturesque countryside includes pristine meadows, a mill pond with waterfall, trestles and bridges over rivers and creeks. Then, we’ll board the Becky Thatcher, for a one-hour Riverboat cruise along the majestic Connecticut River. Along the way, we’ll see Gillette Castle, Goodspeed Opera House, and the Haddam Swing Bridge. Even murder? That's the question posed by this light and funny suspense comedy about a love triangle in a Howard Johnson Motor Inn. The play presents a love triangle involving a woman, her lover, and her husband in three scenes. In the first scene, the wife and her lover plot to murder the husband. In the second scene, the wife and her husband are plotting to murder the lover. The third scene has the husband and the lover plotting to murder the wife, but this attempt, like the others, fails. After the show, enjoy a hilarious cabaret show! $ 120 Bronx Zoo, Saturday, September 18 - The Bronx Zoo is located within Bronx Park just outside of Manhattan. It is one of the largest zoos in the United States by area and is the largest metropolitan zoo in the United States, comprising 265 acres of park lands and naturalistic habitats separated by the Bronx River. The Bronx Zoo, the Wildlife Conservation Society’s flagship park, opened on November 8, 1899. The zoo is now home to over 6,000 animals, and more than 700 species, the perfect place to inspire animal lovers of all ages! The animals and exhibits span the globe and include tiny toads from Tanzania and big cats from the Russian Far East. Part of the zoo’s mission is to connect visitors to wildlife and inspire them to join their conservation work. They set the standard for animal care, zoological medicine, wildlife conservation, and innovative, naturalistic exhibits. Colors of Vermont & Basin Harbor Resort, Monday, 8 September 20 – Wednesday, September 22 –Enjoy the colors of the Vermont countryside on this two-night fall getaway to the Burlington area of Vermont. DAY 1 - We’ll stop at the quaint New England Village of Hanover, NH, then visit Cold Hollow Cider Mill, New England’s largest producer of Apple Cider. 9 Van Gogh the Immersive Experience, Tuesday, September 21 – In the first of TWO different state of the art Van Gogh Exhibits to visit Boston this season, experience an entirely new way to enjoy art (see January listings for the second experience). Artwork from the iconic post-impressionist painter Vincent Van Gogh will come to life in a 360-degree digital spectacle that will illuminate and transform the 20,000 square foot physical space into a fully immersive exhibit. You’ll see Van Gogh’s work take over the walls and encompass your surroundings through the lenses of several dozen two story tall projectors. Using sound effects & technology to recreate animated displays of these masterpieces, you’ll be immersed directly into the paintings themselves.
