FISH FRIDAYS COOKING FOR YOUR COMMUNITY ON The Catholic tradition is to forgo meat on Fridays during Lent. Fish Friday is a perfect opportunity to bring people together to celebrate food at your school or parish. Having a meal together unites us all in the act of sharing, and provides a time to reflect and be grateful for our common home. BE MORE by raising money and awareness for Project Compassion – hold a fish & chip stall, where you could also sell hearty fish burgers, fish cakes or fish fingers! Then Tropical Cyclone Harold damaged the school and its vegetable garden as the threat of COVID-19 loomed. With Caritas Australia’s support, the school installed water tanks, provided cyclone-proof building materials, and helped to implement $70 COVID-19 prevention measures.
