JUNIOR SECONDARY & LANGUAGES UPDATE Despite the end of year rapidly approaching there is still so much going on. Our German and Chinese language students recently completed the World Language Championships with their outstanding achievements recognised on whole school assembly. Our students collectively spent 207 hours online successfully answering a total of 160 079 questions. Sarah Lyon, Year 10 student, answered over 17 000 questions on her own placing her in the top 0.2% in the world. Well done, Sarah! Other Elite Award recipients were Frances Wright and Tim Wright. In week two of this term over 50 students, predominantly from Year 7, ventured to Brisbane to participate in the Oktoberfest 4 Teens – one of our favourite excursions. Lots of fun and laughter with the majority not realising how much German language and culture they were exposed to on the day.
