HANOVER HAPPY MEET INFO
Hello NAAC Families! All of the following info is posted to the website under meet name.
FROM THE MEET HOST:
COVID Protocols:
1. Masks for EVERYONE during the meet. Swimmers need to wear them to the blocks and to warm-up.
Please put mask in a plastic bag when not wearing.
2. Swimmers will be sitting in the stands. Please spread out a bit.
3. Spectators will be "Watch and Go" however we are not putting a limit on spectators. They should enter
the pool area from the first side door on the right when you are facing the building. They should exit
through the main door of the facility. No parents should be sitting with teams.
4. Spectators are welcome to bring chairs and tents to set up on the right side of the building in the grass
area.
DISTANCE SESSIONS ONLY (400 IM & 500 FREE)
1. We will have a 20-minute open warmup immediately following the end of the main session both days.
We will start the distance sessions 5 minutes after that warmup.
2. The distance sessions are seeded fastest to slowest alternating girl/boys.
3. Parents need to time for their swimmers during the distance session. Swimmers need to provide a
counter for the 500 Free on Sunday.
WARM-UP SCHEDULE: NAAC will warm up 7:25 - 7:50am each morning. Please arrive 20 minutes early
to get settled. Distance sessions - see above note.

SPIRIT SHIRT SCHEDULE: Saturday wear your Navy Bule shirt, Sunday wear your yellow shirt. You
can wear as many tattoos as your parents will permit - looking at you Cedar G.
NO VOLUNTEERS NEEDED during morning sessions. Distance event must provide their own timers.
FRIDAY NIGHT PRACTICE: We will have a practice for all groups on Friday night - albeit a shortened
practice. See PRACTICE SCHEDULE UPDATES on page 3. If you are already headed down to Sterling,
no worries, we will see you on Saturday AM. The Senior Group will practice 7:30 - 8:30pm on Friday.

As many of you know Coach Chris Swensen underwent back surgery today . On the
,
way to the hospital he was in good spirits as always . He sent me a pic of him about
, '
to go into surgery but he wouldn t let me publish it although he looked fab If you .
,
have a second today please send some healing thoughts his way Coach Chris just .
celebrated 14 years with NAAC yesterday! Fun fact: his surgeon swam for Penn
State and had a respectable 200 free time of 1:42.78 in college. It's a small world out
there.
Update on pool set up and temp :
POOL CONFIGURATION :
Next week you will notice the pool will be set up Short Course Meters
some days and Long Course Meters some days By Oct . 15th the pool
should be set to Short Course which will give us 23 lanes of pure luxurious
space. Hallelujah! We will still need to use the diving well a bit until we see
how all the groups fit in each night.
POOL TEMP :
Note from Academy : Heat was turned back on to the dive well
yesterday afternoon .
Pipe repairs for the lap pool are underway and should complete today or
.
tomorrow At that point water will circulate through the heating system
allowing the techs to diagnose the lack of heat in the lap pool .
