IMPORTANT NOTE Following are important items you need to take note of before commencing your study at Politeknik Brunei: 1. Complete Orientation Fees payment and collect the Orientation Pack according to the set schedule (Making Payments section in page 4.) 2. PB Official Polo Shirt : can be collected on Monday, 12th July 2021 during the first day of Orientation. Should there be any changes to date of collection, students will be informed via email and/or website. Please make sure you bring proof of payment (receipt). 3. All new students are required to have Student Insurance Policy that covers at least 3 years’ duration of study in Politeknik Brunei. The registration of the Students Insurance can be done by visiting the nearest BIBD Takaful Branch or TAIB Insurance. A copy of the insurance policy must be submitted to Student Affairs Division, Politeknik Brunei, by Tuesday, 31st August 2021. (see page 8). 4. Programmes under School of Health Sciences and School of Engineering are subjected to Medical Fitness Test (including Color Blindness Test) of which will be communicated in a separate announcement. For School of Science and Engineering and School of Petrochemical students ONLY: Registration for Bus Services to Lumut Campus to attend School Orientation on Saturday, 17 July 2021 must be done no later than Thursday, 08 July 2021 via this link: https://forms.gle/vR5KEkZAz1oqkV4ZA (see page 6). TUITION FEES Following fees are tuition fees payable for fee-paying students at Politeknik Brunei. Initial payment of General Fees (stated above) must be completed in order to be successfully enrolled to the programme. TRANSPORTATION Politeknik Brunei does not currently provide any home-to-institution transportation services. However, transportation by means of a shuttle bus facility is available for students of School of Science and Engineering and School of Petrochemical studying at Lumut campus with a minimal fee chargeable to an appointed bus operator. The shuttle bus will transfer you straight from Politeknik Brunei, Main Campus, Ong Sum Ping in Bandar Seri Begawan, or any other designated pick up points set by the company, to School of Science and Engineering and School of Petrochemical at Lumut Campus. *Please do take note that the shuttle-bus service is at student’s own expenses and the bus services is independently run by company appointed and monitored by Politeknik Brunei. SHUTTLE BUS SERVICES Students of School of Science and Engineering and School of Petrochemical who need transportation service from Bandar to Lumut Campus during their study may register by filling in an online registration form via this link: https://forms.gle/eJ6YK31VvdeAVW9BA As of 2021, the charges are BND66.00 per month. Payment can be made directly to the company’s account or by cash at their HQ office. VISA REQUIREMENT & BRUNEI IDENTIFICATION CARD For international student, you are required to obtain a student visa and a Brunei Identification card (Green IC) during the early weeks of your arrival in Brunei Darussalam. We strongly advise for students to check beforehand with their local authorities on the visa requirements to enter Brunei Darussalam. All expenses involved in the process will be borne by the students themselves. Our team will be very happy to guide you through the processes once you have arrived. INSURANCE COVERAGE Insurance coverage is compulsory for all and has to be purchased for the total duration of your programme. However, if you are an international student, you will have the option of purchasing and renewing annually. Please also discuss with your insurance provider if you already have an existing life insurance.
