Meet the Staff Ms. Ambrosini (Co-Director) is a 7th grade English teacher on Team 7-0. In addition to teaching, she has co-directed Holicong’s musicals alongside Mr. Glaser since 2001. First, Ms. A applauds the innumerable decision makers who strategized so that CB’s musical the- ater program and its students could thrive this year. After twenty years, Ms. A thought she was prepared for any theater challenge, yet this year’s production was unlike any other. In what matters though—the joy and enthusiasm of the cast and crew, this production echoes two decades of Holicong musicals—smiles, singing, camaraderie, dancing, laughs. She is proud of and inspired by the Freaky Friday cast and crew who brought talent, joy, and en- thusiasm to this new routine. Ms. A admires the 9th grade cast and crew, especially their three-year commitment to Xanadu—to love and create art. Ms. A is supremely grateful to Mr. Glaser, Senor Palmer, and Ms. Romig for their tireless commitment and creativity as co-directors. She appreciates the dedication of Mr. Kelly, Mrs. Loughlin, Mrs. Madden, and Ms. Slotterback who generously supported both the directors and students. As always, Ms. A thanks her family for their love and support. Mr. Jim Glaser (Co-Director) This is Mr. Glaser’s 21st year as the vocal music director here at Holicong! Favorite past roles include “Moonbeam” in the 9th Grade Oral History instruc- tional video with Mr. Kelly. In his spare time, he enjoys playing disc golf, watching pro disc golf on YouTube and thinking about the fact that everyone else probably thinks it’s weird how much he likes disc golf. He is grateful to his wonderful wife, Adrienne, for her love and understanding and for supporting him in the crazy life of a middle school music teacher (and for renewing his Friends subscription box again…but, you know it was inevitable, or “moo” - like a cow’s opinion). Thanks to Mom and Dad for supporting every show now just like you did when I was on stage. It has been a joy to share the past 21 years of musical theater madness with the incredibly talented and giving Ms. Ambrosini. Mr. G. looks for- ward to the days in the not too distant future when we are truly senile and have to help each other locate the auditorium. He thanks Sr. Palmer for just being the best guy and one of the most talented and creative people on Earth. Love and distant hugs to the Queen of Vh1, Amanda Romig for being an even bigger part of our staff this year and a cherished friend. Huge thanks to Mr. Kelly for taking on a different challenging this year with coordi- nating the camera crew in addition to the lights – you the man!! Mr. G is also so very grate- ful to the other staff who pitched in in various ways to help make the show possible. Bravo to our student production staff for their creativity, energy and leadership! Thanks to the private vocal instructors of so many of these students for helping to get them so well pre- pared for our show! Thanks to our administrators for their support and encouragement through this difficult process, and thanks to the kids for following directions, rolling with the punches, and fighting through the restrictions to create an awesome show. Hershey – I am sorry there was not a part for you in Freaky Friday. We could have made “Presto” a dog, but then Ryan and Shayna’s arms would have broken when they tried to pick up the cage with you in it.
Meet the Staff Mr. Palmer (Art Crew, Co-Director) Mr. Palmer is one of the World Language teachers at Holicong. He mainly teaches 9th grade Spanish, but sometimes teaches French as well. He is extremely excited and honored to be working with the art crew for the musical produc- tion of Freaky Friday this year, as well as spending some time with direction and set de- sign. Mr. P values the dedication and hard work of all those involved in the show! Ms. Am- brosini, Mr. Glaser, Mr. Kelly, Mr. C., our students, and our alumni performers give their time and their hearts to make our show memorable and enjoyable. He would also like to thank his close friends, all of whom are former Holicong students and performers in the musical. They speak so highly of their time in the musical productions at Holicong and how it has touched their lives, and he is honored to be a part of something so special. Have a great show, everyone! Mr. Kelly (Lighting Crew): Mr. Kelly is a ninth grade social studies teacher, and he is also in charge of Holicong’s television studio, Mock Trial team, World Affairs Club, and ninth grade National History Day. He has been designing lighting for concerts and musicals for thirty years and has worked at venues from the TLA and Trocadero in Philadelphia to the BB&T Pavillion in Camden New Jersey. He enjoys seeing the wonderful work that student musicians, actors, and stage and lighting crews put into Holicong’s shows and concerts. He would like to thank his wife Joanne and children, Abbie and Brendan, for all of their love and support. He also wants to thank Mr. Glaser, Ms. Ambrosini, Miss Romig and Mr. Palmer for all their hard work in overcoming the challenges to make this show so wonder- ful. Miss Amanda Romig (Co-Director, Choreographer): A former Holicong student turned Spe- cial Education Teacher, Miss Romig has been a part of every Holicong musical since 2011! From playing Lucy in You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown as a ninth grader, to assistant directing High School Musical in 2016, she has so many fond memories of every year. She is overjoyed to work on Freaky Friday this year, even with the “different” approach that was needed in order to put it together. Miss Romig is so appreciative of the musical staff (aka her colleagues! WHAT!?) for always including her in this wonderful process and deal- ing with her antics for this long, including but not limited to dancing around like a maniac to get the cast to have more energy, and showing up to Holicong for rehearsal without shoes on. She would like to thank her family for their constant support and the entire com- pany of Freaky Friday for putting their all into this magical performance. Your hard work and dedication to the show is why we are able to showcase it for the public in this crazy time. FEED BRUCE!
