JOANIE GREGORY-PULLEN (Vocal Director) brings a well-rounded variety of experi-
ence to our musical team. She holds a bachelor’s degree in vocal music education from
the University of Central Oklahoma. She uses her knowledge from her degree and stud-
ies at the master level in music performance and education at the University of Oklahoma
to successfully tap the talent of everyone from preschool aged children to senior adults.
Mrs. Pullen serves as the longtime program manager for Canterbury Voices, where her
duties include serving as the administrator of Canterbury Youth Voices (CYV) and Camp
Canterbury. Even amid the pandemic, Canterbury has implemented multiple protocols to
keep singing! CYV choirs perform regularly throughout our community including master-
works with Canterbury Voices at the Civic Center, Thunder, Dodgers and Energy games and Saturdays with
Santa. Two highlights are CYV’s national television performances; one for the Musselman’s Applesauce
Family Skating Tribute with Olympic ice skater Scott Hamilton on ABC tv and singing the National Anthem
for Ice Cube’s Big 3 Basketball Tournament on Fox Sports. Currently, Mrs. Pullen is preparing to travel to
Normandy, France with the CYV choirs to sing for the D-Day commemoration ceremony in June of 2021.
She’d love to tell you how your singer could join us! Pullen taught private voice for 25 years (including
Mrs. Mann!) and she is also quite theatrically accomplished both as a performer and director. Her favorite
projects have been directing the national dvd premiere of four children’s musicals for the Dove award win-
ning composer, Dave Clark, produced by Brentwood Benson and Lillenas Music Publishers in Nashville.
She continues to sing as a soloist and with the choir at Quail Springs Baptist Church. Mrs. Pullen is most
proud of her family - her husband of nearly 33 years, John, their daughter, Jill and her husband, Colton and
their younger daughter, Jennifer. She has greatly enjoyed working with the wonderful students of Bethany
Schools on this “Footloose” production and thanks her dear friend, Annie, for asking her to help. Break a
Leg cast and crew!

CHRISTINE WAGNER (Assistant Vocal Director) Mrs. Wagner has performed on stage, musicals and in
the pit, and has played in the pit for musicals, operettas and plays since high school and
college. She has directed musicals and has directed pit for musicals in her career. Her
certified teaching began in 1994, and since then, she has taught elementary music, mid-
dle and high school band and vocal music, in addition to English and Math. She has ac-
companied for over 40 years, and has privately taught since 1986. She is affiliated with
OMEA, TMEA, KMEA, MENC, Sigma Alpha Iota, International Trombone Association,
and Alpha Chi (collegiate honor society). She earned special recognition as a member
of the Kansas Intercollegiate Band (2 years), NATS as a singer and as an accompanist,
and trombone soloist at the Wichita Jazz Festival. One of her joys has been singing
jazz with jazz orchestras and combos. Mrs Wagner has taught in Kansas, Texas, and
now, Oklahoma. In addition to being accompanist at Bethany, she is also Pom Coach
at Bethany. She is married to Jay, and they have two children: Erich, a sophomore majoring in business at
Cameron University, and Emma, a 5th grader. She shared, “Footloose has been such fun to prepare with
the cast! We hope you enjoy the show!”

TABITHA FINE (Guest Director) is thrilled to be in her seventh year, but sixth show,
of assisting/helping with the all school musical at Bethany! She graduated from the
University of Central Oklahoma with a bachelor’s in communuication education . After
graduating, Mrs. Fine taught drama and served as auditorium director at Deek Creek
High School and Middle School. She directed many straight plays and musicals and
hoped she encouraged many students to be themselves and pursue their dreams.
After her time at Deer Creek, Mrs. Fine decided to be a stay at home mom, but she
did (and still does) miss her students. Directing students is her passion and she has
enjoyed being able to “flex her drama muscles” for the last seven years at Bethany.
Thank you Annie Mannfor giving her the opportunity! Mrs. Fine has been married for
almost 16 years to her wonderful husband Dr. Andrew Fine and has three amazing
children, Ethan, Owen and Natalie.
