UNCLASSIFIED//FOUO Army Maintenance Application (ArMA) Background ArMA is a new way to submit service orders for barracks that leverages internet and smartphone technologies to improve communication, add transparency for residents, and give leaders a comprehensive look at the maintenance status of their barracks. For Barracks Residents and Facility Managers: • Include a photograph(s) of the problem - worth 1,000 words • Ask questions directly to the service order clerks, and answer any questions they have - all in the app • Log in any time and see the current status of open service requests • Confirm the service was completed to your satisfaction to close out a request For Unit Leaders: • Receive an emailed report of ArMA cases • Choose which day(s) you want the report emailed • See the status of all cases in the last 30 days • Only shows ArMA cases, not service orders submitted any other way – will need your barracks residents to use ArMA to tie it all together! 5
UNCLASSIFIED//FOUO Army Maintenance Application (ArMA) More Details • ArMA is: • A communication tool for barracks residents • For barracks buildings only right now; it will eventually be available for all buildings • A web application, not a stand-alone app you would find in iTunes or Google Play Store • Successful implementation requires a whole-team effort • Barracks residents and facility managers submitting service orders via ArMA cases • DPW receives and communicates with the requestor via ArMA • Commanders, CSMs, and 1SGs sign up for Command Reporting and gain visibility • Some issues are outside the scope of ArMA • For emergency maintenance requests (toilet not flushing, lights out, electrical hazard, etc) call DPW at 520-533-3151/2003 for immediate support • Residents locked out of their room should contact their CQ, Staff Duty, or unit supervisor • For broken barracks furniture, call Housing at 520-533-3611 6

UNCLASSIFIED//FOUO Fire Prevention • The US Forest Service across portions of Arizona recently closed camping/parks to all visitors due to extremely high fire risk. As such, we are implementing similar measures here on Fort Huachuca to minimize wildfire risk and risk to those who might venture into the canyons during this wildfire season. • Canyons are CLOSED to ALL activities (this includes, but is not limited to, Huachuca Canyon, Garden Canyon, and all other canyons that are part of the Fort Huachuca installation). • Exception: Military mission-related activity, which must comply with Fort Huachuca Stage Two Fire Restrictions dated 28 June 2021. • Know Before You Go! DIAL 911 to report a fire! • Contact Fire Prevention at 533-1887 or 533-1870 if you have any questions. 11

Here are a few tips to keep you and your family safe. Look out for dust storms! More Tips to Stay Safe…. - Pull off the roadway - Be prepared. REACH TRAINING ASIST CALENDAR TRAINING CALENDAR CY 21 FY 21 The Fort Huachuca Suicide Prevention Program is excited to restart our ASIST T2T training across the installation. We recently certified ten new trainers and are excited to offer the ASIST T2T class. The ASIST T2T is intended to teach suicide intervention skills to gatekeepers or those within positions of trust within each organization. Please note this is not a train the trainer course. ASIST T2T is a two day class from 0830-1630 each day. Attendee have to attend both days to receive credit for the class. Training will be conducted face to face and seating is limited to 16 participants at each session, so please sign up early to secure your spot. REACH TRAINING REACH CALENDAR TRAINING CALENDAR FY 21FY 21 The Fort Huachuca Suicide Prevention Program is excited to bring a new approach to Suicide Prevention to our installation. REACH stands for Resources Exist, Asking Can Help. It’s a mindset. REACH is not a training, program, class, or a resource briefing. We are trying to cultivate a new mindset around help-seeking in the military—“It is your individual responsibility to reach out for help and not suffer in silence. Put your own oxygen mask first before helping others.” REACH facilitator training is a two day class with four hour blocks of instruction from 0800-1200 each day. Attendee have to attend both days to receive credit for the class. Attendees are required to schedule a one hour fidelity check and teach back six slides during that fidelity check, to receive their certificate. TRAINING SESSIONS: Training will be conducted virtually and seating is limited to 15 27-28 April 2021 participants at each session. REACH TRAINING REACH-SPOUSE CALENDAR TRAINING FY2121 CALENDAR FY REACH-S was created to help spouses, significant others, and family members of active duty, reserve, and National Guard service members develop a proactive mindset around mental health and help seeking. Because spouses often play an influential role in their service members’ well-being and decision-making, REACH—S also equips them with the knowledge and skills to encourage their service member to reach out for help. REACH—S embodies the public health approach to suicide prevention by teaching spouses the warning signs of suicide and bystander intervention TRAINING SESSIONS: techniques. REACH-S is a two part series, with the first session June 28 and July 29 concentrating on the spouse and the second session focusing on helping the July 30 and August 26 service member. August 27 and September 16 September 17 and October 21 October 22 and November 11 Class size is limited to 15 attendees. We need at least five November 12 and December 10 registered attendees to hold the session. UNCLASSIFIED//FOUO Military Personnel Division • Updated ID Card guidance ‘Extended Policy Guidance for Identification Card Operations During COVID-19’, posted on Garrison website: • Dependents of Active Duty are extended until 31 October 2021 • Retirees and their Dependent ID's are extended until 31 January 2022 • The minimum age for ID Card issuance continues to be 14 years old • Current priorities in DEERS/ID Cards: • CAC issuance • DEERS updates • We are currently experiencing an influx of ID Card appointments causing appointment availability to be out about 3 weeks. 30
UNCLASSIFIED//FOUO Military Personnel Division • Supervisors need to schedule an appointment for any new employee starting, ensure you book their initial CAC renewal appointment in a timely manner so they have a CAC by the end of their first week on the job. • If your CAC is expiring, ensure you book your appointment as soon as you receive the NEC reminder that your CAC is about to expire. Schedule your appointment 30 days in advance to avoid expiration prior to appointment availability • If you experience issues with the gate security scanning your ID Card; please visit their visitor center at the Van Deman gate for assistance. UNCLASSIFIED//FOUO STILL UTILIZING TUITION ASSISTANCE ETP • TA eligible soldiers should enroll in classes directly with their Educational Institution. • To ensure that there is no gap in TA funding, Soldiers whose classes start on 8 March 2021 and later will be provided ETP TA funding if TA eligible (e.g., not Flagged, have TA remaining for FY). As such, no gap exists in a TA eligible Soldier’s ability to enroll in classes under this ETP. • When the TA program is back online in ArmyIgnitED, Soldiers should follow the guidance provided in previous messages from HQ ACCESS to ensure the ETP Request Process has been completed for classes they registered for during the downtime of ArmyIgnitED. • Once the TA program is back online in ArmyIgnitED and Soldiers are able to submit TA Requests into the system, HQ ACCESS will suspend the ETP TA process. HQ ACCESS will message Soldiers when the TA program returns and when the ETP TA process has been discontinued. 33

UNCLASSIFIED//FOUO Mountain Vista Communities Announcements • Fort Huachuca Watering Policy – Starting this month (July), watering with sprinklers and soakers hoses for yard irrigation is prohibited through August. • Attended hand-held hoses to water trees, shrubs, gardens, and flowers may be used throughout the year at any time. However, care must be taken to prevent water from running on to the pavement or into the street. • Monsoon Tips- • Do not leave screen doors propped open. The smallest gust of wind can cause expensive damage to storm doors. • Should you experience an interior leak, report it to the MVC Maintenance Office. Use buckets to catch active drips. Move or cover furniture and valuables that are in close proximity to the leak. • Remove flags and flagpoles to prevent damage to the house or loss of the flag in the wind. • Ensure trampolines and lawn furniture are secured. Trampolines must have a clearly visible, permanently attached label with the Service Members name, address, and phone number. Any damages caused by trampolines will be at the resident's expense. • Heed “Do not enter when flooded” road signs. • Pet Policy Reminders – Your furry family members are an important part of the community. To keeps pets safe and avoid a policy violation notice, please take a moment to read through these pet policies. • Two pets per home are permitted. • Verification of registration from the Fort Huachuca Veterinary Clinic is required. • Housing pets permanently outdoors is not allowed. • Clean up the poo. Pet waste should be picked up every 24 hours. In the hot summer months, excessive pet waste is not only smelly, but it also attracts insects and is very unsightly. • It is PCS season. MVC requires a 30-Day Notice to Vacate along with a copy of your orders prior to vacating. You can always submit these in advance to help assist us in making preparations with housing assignments for incoming families. The Notice to Vacate form and be found at the MVC Housing Office or online at www.mountainvistacommunities.com. • During the summer, please plan accordingly for your service orders. MVC Technicians will not enter your home, even with a Permission to Enter, if a child under the age of 18 is home alone.
