Paving theWay 2 0 2 1 G ALA & FILM PREMIERE PAVING A NEW WAY The next generation of leaders We are thrilled tonight to share with you a very powerful film that showcases the resiliency and perseverance of three young people who have experienced homelessness in San Francisco. With the support of you and our Producers during the pandemic, Larkin Street commissioned local filmmaker Natasha Florentino to create a realistic yet inspirational film to showcase unique true stories of what it means to be young and unhoused. The proceeds from this event provide critical support in the form of housing, education, job assistance, and medical programs for young people ages 12 to 24 experiencing or at-risk of homelessness in San Francisco. Since 1984, Larkin Street Youth Services has given more than 75,000 young people a safe place to rebuild their lives. Three out of four young people who complete our housing programs exit to stable housing. As you will soon see, these these young leaders are pursuing their dreams and giving back to their communities. Thank you for joining us for Paving The Way -- the 19th annual benefit for Larkin Street Youth Services. We hope tonight’s documentary inspires you during these challenging times. Enjoy the film! #2021PTW #PavingANewWay 2
