Waitangi Day is a day of national celebration; reflecting on
what it means to be a New Zealand and remembering who
we are as a people. Celebrate your roots and expel your Raffles

a good party
The definition of a party in New Zealand is a bunch of
mates getting together for a few laughs, possibly around
a BBQ or a bonfire.
Here’s a few optional extras you may want to consider:
• A venue (you should get a good deal if you book for
a big group)
• Friendly businesses to support you with product in
exchange for promotion on the day (these products can
used as prizes, auction items or used to reduce overheads
for the day)
• Decorations to theme your event

Vancouver Waitangi Day 2013
Kiwis Avi and Bryce have been putting on Waitangi On the day they raised money the good old fashioned way, by
