INTRODUCTION

• Greetings & Welcome to FTRA’s Orientation Programme,
  2021.
• This programme is aimed at orientating & addressing first
  year students in the teaching programme.
• The orientation programme will enable new students to
  become well- versed with the teaching standards.

10.- (1) No person shall be permitted to teach at a school
in Fiji unless the person is a holder of FTRA certificate of
registration permitting the person to teach or practice

REGISTERING FOR
                PRACTICUMS
• All teacher trainees going on practicums in schools in
  Fiji need to register
• This will be institutional registration and FTRA fees will be
  paid by the TTI
• All trainees will have to submit police clearance before
  registration is granted.
• The registration list will be sent to the institution and not
  the individual trainees
• Before taking a paid teaching position, teachers will
  need to register on provisional registration individually.
