Senior Supplemental Groceries Drive-Thru Legacy Commons has partnered with SAVES in offering supplemental groceries to seniors 60+ who live in the South Antelope Valley. Groceries will be provided in a drive-thru no contact pick up process, as we are maintaining safe social distancing and other good health practices such as wearing masks and gloves. There’s no need for you to get out of the car. Seniors can call Legacy Commons at 661-267-5904 to schedule their supplemental food bank grocery pick-up. Groceries are distributed by appointment only on Tuesday and Thursday from 1-3:45 pm Founded in 1983, South Antelope Valley Emergency Service (SAVES) is dedicated to alleviating hunger among low and extremely low income working families, elderly, disabled and homeless in the communities of: • Acton • Lake Elizabeth • Lake Los Angeles with Palmdale zip code • Littlerock • Llano • Palmdale • Pearblossom
Project Door Drop is a non-profit organization working to bring pre-packaged boxes of food to the elderly and immunocompromised within the City of Lancaster. All food comes directly from the LA Food Bank. One box is estimated to feed 2 people for 1 week. They have a no-contact delivery system in place to keep you and their volunteers as protected as possible. Once you order, a box of food will arrive at your door on the day you scheduled it.
