02 MIDLAND AREA AGENCY ON AGING Midland Area Agency on Aging oversees programs designed for individuals over the age of 60 set in place by the Older Americans Act (OAA) and other Federal and State Funded Programs. These programs have different eligibility requirements depending on need. OAA services are available to eligible participants over the age of 60 regardless of their ability to contribute monetarily. If you are 60+ and/or disabled, please call for more information. 402-879-4691 TRANSPORTATION Midland Public Transit provides transportation for individuals of all ages, regardless of race and/or disabilities. Midland Public Transit will take you where you need to go and return you home. The public transit services are provided throughout Superior, Nelson, Lawrence, Hardy, Ruskin and Oak plus out of town trips. Public Transit allows increased access to health care appointments, shopping and public services for all community members. We have multiple vehicles equipped with mobility in mind, featuring ramp and/or lift for wheelchairs. We are now accepting Non- emergency medical transportation for Medicaid-Nebraska Total Care, United Health Care, and WellCare of Nebraska.. Please call 1-888-997-1655 to schedule your ride or receive further information. We must have 24 hours or more notice when possible to help coordinate schedules and availability.
