Qantas Centenary
In 2020, Qantas – Australia’s own ‘Flying Kangaroo’ – celebrates its centenary. Founded in 1920 in Winton,
Queensland, Qantas started business with two aircraft and three staff, providing vital support to isolated graziers.
For a century, Qantas has connected Australians with each other and with the world.
In recognition of 100 years of Australia’s pioneering air service the Royal Australian Mint proudly
