The flights operate on Wednesday and Sunday; tickets are now available to buy. The airline is also proposing a plan to operate direct flights between Hanoi and Melbourne by the second quarter of 2020 and promises to launch more services to other Australian destinations in future. There are five flights a week operated by Boeing’s 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft. The flights run 5 times per week until 22nd February 2020. 05 Zannier Hotels To Open Bai San Ho In Vietnam Zannier Hotels plans to open its beachfront resort Bai San Ho in Vietnam in summer 2020. The resort will be situated in Phu Yen, in a largely untouched destination with stunning beaches and landscape. Bai San Ho will feature 71 villas, 46 of which will come with their own private pools. This will make it easier for travelers to include Myanmar as part of a visit to other South East Asian destinations such as Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia. 07 Coronavirus Situation In Vietnam Source: Nick Fox / shutterstock See latest travel news on our website: We would like to update the Coronavirus situation in Vietnam as below. www.saffrontravel.net - The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam suspended all flights to and from mainland China which has been hit by the Coronavirus and minimizes the number of flights from / to Maucau, Hongkong, and Taiwan. - Vietnamese government is well aware of the situation and has been taking serious action to prevent the virus from spreading, such as: setting up medical checking system at all international airport; following up strictly all cases coming from China or having a transit at airport in China to ensure everything is under control. - Vietnam will temporarily stop granting tourist visas to Chinese nationals from epidemic-hit areas except emergency cases. Following WHO official statistics, there is no death confirmed in Vietnam. The Committee of WHO also does not recommend any travel or trade restriction based on the current information available. While the virus is an alert to the public health, the risk to most people outside China remains very low. The situation in Vietnam now is under control and at this stage Vietnam is still a safe destination. NEWS NEW TOURS DESTINATIONS FEATURES FOOD CORNER PREVIOUS FOOD CORNER Coconut Chicken Curry A dash of coconut cream added at the end of cooking gives this curry a lovely creamy smoothness, seasoned with a little fish sauce and a generous squeeze of lemon juice. Ingredients: - ½ teaspoon ground turmeric - 100ml peanut oil - ½ teaspoon salt - 1 tablespoon shrimp paste - 2 tablespoons fish sauce - 1 lemon grass stalk, crushed - 8 chicken thighs, skinned & boned - 4 large tomatoes, chopped Source: Tri Le - 2 medium onions, quartered - 4 tablespoon coconut cream - 3 garlic cloves - 150ml water Kyet Thar Ohn Nyot Sipyan - 3 dried whole chilies, soaked in hot water - Small handful of fresh coriander Preparation: - Put the ground turmeric, salt and fish sauce in a bowl. Add the chicken and stir to coat with the marinade. Leave for 30 minutes while you make the onion paste. - Using a pestle and mortar, pound the onions, garlic and dried chillies to form a coarse paste or chop everything very finely. Heat the oil in saucepan and cook the onion paste over a moderate heat for 15-20 minutes until caramelized. Keep moving the paste in the pan so it does not burn. Add the shrimp paste and stir through the mixture. - Put the chicken, lemon grass, tomatoes and water in a pan. Bring to the boil then reduce the heat. Simmer for 25-35 minutes or until the sauce has reduced and the chicken in tender. Add the coconut cream and leave to simmer a further 5 minutes.
