‘It was amazing to see the quality of work created by students and how committed they are to what they believe in. The details of the collections produced by the fashion students felt very professionally produced and very modern, so I was quite excited about what I saw. I think what’s interesting about the North Greenwich campus compared to where I studied in Chislehurst, is that you have so much crossover between the different disciplines. It’s almost like working in a sort of arena of art and design, which is wonderful.’ Clare Waight Keller Creative Director Givenchy (Alumni) ‘I really enjoyed the feeling of community and the accessibility to other courses the college allowed. Knitwear and print were big parts to the course and of keen interest for me. Strong links to the industry via projects and lectures were also an attraction to Ravensbourne. I was determined to make a future from studying fashion at Ravensbourne.’ Mark Howard Thomas Creative Director Menswear Helmut Lang (Alumni) ‘At a time when research & development was authentic and needed to be studied through exhibitions/life drawings/libraries — Ravensbourne demanded an intense level of commitment to this process alongside commerciality and extreme self-sufficiency. I learnt the end-to-end process in an exciting high fashion environment. Magic Times!’ James Spreckley Creative Director Reiss (Alumni)

Paria Farzaneh Graduated 2016, Shortlisted for LVMH prize 2019 ‘I couldn’t imagine not studying at Ravensbourne, the tutors were really able to relate with me on a personal level in terms of understanding my skills and passions and being able to push me in the right direction. Gurmit had an intensive knowledge of the industry I work in now and was always honest and supportive with my decisions during my time at Ravensbourne. I think it is very important to have the foundations set in place especially during a crucial part of your degree in your final year. The tutors really helped me stabilise my plans for the future. June will be the third season that I will be showing at LFWM’s and I am currently stocked in 23 stores worldwide, including some stockists such as Browns, LN-CC, Opening Ceremony New York, SSENSE and GR8 TOKYO to name a few.’
