PARKS AND RECREATION WINTER / SPRING SPOTLIGHT FREE Family Open Gym Are you looking for something to do as a family during the cold winter months? Play and be active together as a family! Come to Family Open Gym on Sunday evenings December 2-March 31 from Rosemount Lion’s Club 5-7pm for some Spring Egg Hunt recreational fun. A bunny will be hopping into Rosemount on Saturday, April 13 at 10am with lots Rosemount of eggs and candy for children to hunt Spring Clean- for at this traditional Egg Hunt for kids Up and Paper ages 10 and under. This special event is Shredding Event located at the Ames Soccer Complex at The City of Dakota County Technical College. Rosemount will be hosting its annual Spring Clean-Up Day on Saturday, May 18 from 8am to 12pm at the Dakota County Technical College. Once again Rosemount will partner with the Michelle Hoagland Group, Keller Williams FREE Family Fun Festival Preferred Realty to Join Rosemount Parks and Recreation hold a free Paper on Friday, February 22 from 6-8pm Shredding Event for a night of FREE family fun in the as part of the City’s Gymnasium and Arena at the Spring Clean-Up Day. Rosemount Community Center! Activities include music, inflatable Rosemount Home & Business Expo jumpies and slides, carnival games, Plan to attend the Rosemount Home and ice skating plus much more. Come to the new Family Open Gym for some recreational fun. We’ll fill the gym with tons of balls and hoops and you can exercise the sillies out of your kids, while having fun as a family! Special Events PARKS AND RECREATION FATHER/DAUGHTER VALENTINE SWEETHEART DANCE A delightful evening/morning awaits you and your little Valentine at this year’s magical Valentine Sweetheart Father/Daughter Dance! Plan on making many wonderful memories with your special little girl with dancing, music, fun activities, crafts and a special visitor, plus much more. Little girls along with their dad, uncle, grandfather or other male role model will enjoy a “Valentine” themed event. Girls and Dads should dress in their favorite fancy attire. The fee includes a professional photograph printed onsite to take home to remember this special day. This event fills up very quickly so please don’t wait to register. Special Events PARKS AND RECREATION THE ROSEMOUNT LIONS CLUB SPRING EGG HUNT A bunny will be hopping into Rosemount with lots of eggs and candy for children to hunt for at this traditional Egg Hunt for kids ages 10 and under. Children will be divided into age groups (1-3, 4-6 and 7-10) for hunting. Each age group will have lots of eggs and candy to hunt for and they will also have a chance to find the “golden” egg, which they can turn in for a special prize. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Bring a basket or bag to hold your treats. Please arrive early; the event begins at 10am sharp. A bunny will be visiting, so bring your cameras! Inclement weather: In case of inclement weather, the Egg Hunt will be held the following Saturday, April 20.
