The President of Baseball Operations for the Chicago Cubs had done the impossible – he broke a century-old curse to lead the Cubs to their first championship in 108 years. What’s even more remarkable, he had done it before. In 2004, the then 30-year-old General Manager led the long-accursed Boston Red Sox to their first title in 86 years. After his Cubs miracle, Time named him one of the world’s 100 most influential people. In addition to his successful baseball career, Epstein and his twin brother Paul created the “Foundation To Be Named Later” while still in Boston. Then, if you’re looking to be inspired and amazed, our featured speaker Jon Dorenbos will do the trick! You’ll hear his story of trauma and triumph: When he was 12, a family tragedy sent him to foster care and then to his aunt’s home. Last year, he saw his 15-year NFL career end suddenly when a team doctor discovered a life-threatening heart condition. Jon turned to magic as an escape. His sleight-of-hand tricks endeared him to Eagles fans throughout his 12 years with the team. He finished third on “America’s Got Talent” and his magical personality gained him a place in everybody’s hearts. 6
