Program Registration Information Youth All programs are FREE and registration can be done by visiting brightonlibrary.evanced.info/signup. All programs require registration unless otherwise noted. A library card is not required to register. We are planning for most programs to be in-person. Depending on local Covid numbers, programs may have to move to virtual or be postponed. We will provide registrants with as much notice as possible if a change is necessary. Please check the Library’s website for up-to-date information. The Mackinac Bridge: Then and Now Wednesday, October 20, 7-8pm, Room A/B Kim Nowack, Executive Secretary and CEO of the Mackinac Bridge Authority (MBA), will share her knowledge about this famous landmark. As the first woman to be appointed Chief Engineer of the MBA, Ms. Nowack spent 17 years overseeing bridge design, construction, maintenance, and inspection. She will share the history, evolution, and future of the 63-year-old “Mighty Mac,” the fifth longest suspension bridge in the world and the longest bridge in the Western Hemisphere.
