Events Programme 2022 There are four Open Quiet Days in 2022 at Parcevall Hall. Breaking with the tradition of the last few years, we’re now asking you to book in advance by email or phone. We’ve been glad to see the popularity of these days increase, but with higher attendance has come a lessening of the quiet and peace, and so on reflection, we are reluctantly restricting numbers to 25. Each of our Open Quiet Days this year has a different leader. Revd Nicholas Mercer was ordained in 2011 after twenty-five years as a solicitor. He is now the Rector of Bolton Priory, and will lead the January Open Quiet Day. Lynn Parker leads our April day. She has led several retreats at Parcevall Hall for the Fellowship of Contemplative Prayer, is a Reader for the Church of England, and also leads Bible Study retreats for her local church. The third will be led by Katharine Cheney. Katharine is a confirmed member of the Methodist Church and the Church of England, and lives a spiritual unity. She is a long- time friend of the Hall. The final Open Quiet Day this year will be led by Revd Canon Ailsa Newby. Ailsa served in the Diocese of Southwark before moving north, where she is now Spirituality and Spiritual Direction Co-ordinator for the Ripon Episcopal Area.
