Marine Nativity Scene at the E' Scaion Museum
From Monday 26 to Friday 30 december 2022 and from Sunday 2 to Sunday 8 January 2023
Seafaring and Shell Museum of Viserbella
The Seafaring and Shell Museum of Viserbella opens for the holidays. It was set up in 1999 for the recovery of the
history and maritime traditions of this small Rimini village.
The Museum preserves documents, artefacts and fishing equipment.
Typical boats, equipment for the different ways of fishing and the tools at the base of the artisan art of the
shipwrights and caulkers are also exhibited here.
Furthermore, the Capici Collection, the most important collection of shells in the Mediterranean, is on display and
a sector is dedicated to the fossils donated by Ivilia Rosa from Turin.
Visitors are welcomed by the traditional Marine Nativity scene, with the Nativity set up on a batana, the typical flat-
bottomed boat.

Electronic music festival - Rimini, the world's longest New Year's Eve
Three evenings of music with authentic champions of techno music. At the mixing consoles many legends such
as the dj and producer Ellen Allien, the king of minimal Ricardo Villalobos, the symbol of Detroit techno Jeff Mills,
the talented Amelie Lens, the global ambassador of Italian club culture Marco Carola, the young Adieluna, up to
the internationally known Italian dj, the icon Joseph Capriati, the unmistakable groovy touch of Francesco Del
Garda, the Spanish DJ and producer Dennis Cruz and many other artists.
To start with Amelie Lens on December 30th at Altromondo Studios, and it continues on December 31st at the
Rimini Fair with guests such as Skizzo, Marco Carola, Shermanology, Dennis Cruz, Joseph Capriati and many
others. The festival ends on January 1st at Cocorico'.
A line up of 26 DJs for a special three-night festival dedicated to all electronic music enthusiasts.

The "longest New Year's Eve in the world" touches the highest point, as per tradition, on December 31st with
many shows spread throughout the historic center. Ten different spaces in the city center, each with a different
artistic proposal and entertainment from aperitif time until late at night:
Fire at the Castle
The most awaited moment is a show of fireworks, lights and sounds to set Sismondo Castle on fire. A unique
moment that puts the Malatesta castle at the center of a show between magic and dream, between cascades of
fires, colored trails and intermittent lights, with more than a thousand effects divided into various colors
and shapes synchronized in time with the music.

Malatesta music landscape
A musical journey from hip hop to electronics, to pop-jazz and swing repertoire with:
Kelly Joyce, accompanied by the CeCanto Band and the string quartet of the Gioacchino Rossini Orchestra of
Pesaro. The singer test hereself in a pop-jazz and swing repertoire, with excursions into Italian songwriting and
traditional French songs.
Frankie hi-nrg mc to follow, an eclectic artist who acts as a DJ, offering a selection of rap/hip hop and electronic
music, ranging from famous hits, hidden treasures of the underground and interpreting some of his greatest hits
LIVE. The music accompanies until the countdown, introducing the shows scheduled at the Castle.
Rulas Quetzal opens the evening, from 6.00pm to 7.30pm, with a percussion and fire show.
The evening is concluded by the Satellite Rock Club DJ crew, for a musical journey through rock that ranges from
the 70s to today, contaminated at the same time by electronic, psychedelic and alternative Italian sound
influences.

RDS Party & Paradise Reunion
From the aperitif until late at night, a large open-air club where the historic DJs of the legendary Riviera by night
create an evening in the atmosphere of the clubs of the 80s and 90s.
The musical program of the evening will retrace the last 30 years of dance music hits in a modern version with the
official dee jays of the Paradiso Reunion, Gianni Morri, Max Padovani, Paolo Nhe, Michelino & Paolino Zanetti,
supported by international artists, such as trumpeter Stefano Serafini, percussionist Luca Florian and electronic
violinist Mark Lanzetta.
To open the evening, the Academy Deejay Crew of Rimini with DJ Max Monti and the CITY band _ Music
Academy Young.
RDS 100% Grandi Successi is the official radio for Rimini's New Year's Eve 2023. The conductors Roberta
Lanfranchi and Claudio Guerrini will lead the audience towards the midnight toast and beyond, to celebrate the
new year with a DJ set in full 100% Grandi Successi style and many gadgets for the participants.

Domus of the Surgeon
Among the mosaics of the Domus, Lorenzo Semprini (acoustic guitar, harmonica, voice), Alessio Raffaelli (piano
and accordion), and Massimo Marches (guitars and choirs), propose a show that is a reinterpretation of
unplugged songs that explore the theme of dreams. Starting from the ballads of Bob Dylan to those of Bruce
Springsteen, passing through Lou Reed, Coldplay, Van Morrison, Johnny Cash, U2, as well as unpublished songs
written by the artists of the trio, the show crosses the words of Jack Kerouac, John Fante , the imagination ofEVENTI

Opera by Giuseppe Verdi at the Galli Theater for the longest New Year's in the world
To greet the new year, from the Teatro Galli’s stage, 'La Traviata', an opera in three acts by Giuseppe Verdi on a
libretto by Francesco Maria Piave, based on the play by Alexandre Dumas (son) "The lady of the camellias",
considered the 'Verdi's most significant and romantic work, forming part of the so-called 'popular' trilogy, together
with Il Trovatore and Rigoletto.
La Traviata come back to Rimini ten years after the previous production organized by the Galli Choir in 2013, to
continue the tradition of staging works chosen among the most loved by the audience as well as of extraordinary
artistic and musical value. The City of Rimini Lyric Choir Amintore Galli Aps is accompanied by the Rimini
Chamber Orchestra conducted by Maestro Stefano Pecci.

In memory of Stefano Venturini
Also this year, the retailers, committees and associations of San Giuliano Mare in Rimini, propose the event in
memory of Tete Venturini. The Marina di Rimini hosts the event, where a floating nativity scene is set up on the
historic boats of Vele al Terzo Rimini.
Inauguration of the event, Saturday 17 December round 4.00 pm, with lightning and blessing of the nativity scene,
preceded by a scenographic underwater torchlight procession and the arrival of the 'luminous Santa Claus' on jet
skis.
The event ends with the distribution of panettone, sweets, hot chocolate and Santa Claus gifts to children.
In case of bad weather the party is postponed to Sunday 18 December at the same time.
The nativity scene remains on site until January 6, 2023.

multicultural initiative in memory of Davide Farinella.
On the bridge there is a luminous nativity scene created by Salvatore Federici, with illuminated iron shapes. Here
you can admire the Nativity in polychrome wood shaped by the Carlini Shipyard.
The highlight is January 6 with the representation of 'Epiphany on the Bridge', with the naval procession and the
adoration of the Three Kings, along the canal port.
The initiative is curated by the Ponte dei Miracoli Association in collaboration with the Marineria di Rimini
associations.

The Ice village 'with a sea view' rises in the heart of Marina Centro, a stone's throw from the Grand Hotel, near the
fountain of the Four Horses.
Children and adults can skate on ice just a few metres from the sea inside a Christmas Village full of
entertainment.
For the little ones, carousels, games and Santa Claus's house, while a large marquee on the Rotonda of the
Grand Hotel hosts the Christmas Circus Show, where, from 16 December to 8 January, there will be
entertainment and shows both free and paid for all.
On 31 December, the Children's New Year is celebrated starting at 9.30 pm with games, music, dancing,
entertainment... panettone, sparkling wine and sweets (for reservations +39 338 4654085).
Christmas lights and decorations make the atmosphere even more suggestive, while the most loved mascots can
be photographed with the children.

artistic beauties of Rimini and finally a historian with a passion for the events of the Gothic Line, his photographic
activity was so far completely unknown, documented by the recent discovery in his home of over 40,000
negatives.
These are visual testimonies of the reconstruction of Rimini's society and landscapes, with the first years of the
tourist boom, social events, fashion and personalities of that era in which the foundations of contemporary Rimini
were laid.

The Rimini Marathon is back, the great national and international sporting event that involves an entire city,

'Lazarus' is the title of the surprising rock-work conceived and wanted by David Bowie shortly before his death,
written alongside award-winning Irish playwright Enda Walsh, inspired by Walter Tevis' The Man Who Fell to
Earth.
Lazarus, which premiered Off-Broadway at the New York Theater Workshop on December 7, 2015 (Bowie's last
public appearance), offers a sort of sequel to the story of the unhappy interstellar migrant Newton, forced to stay
on Earth.

Appointments with prose, music and dance
It is a prose season that does not renounce to dream by offering a program with some of the most established
performers and authors of the show business, with many female talented voices and attention to the
contemporary scene.
Among the protagonists of the Italian scene who will be on the Rimini stage: Valter Malosti, Roberto Latini, Moni
Ovadia, Francesco Pannofino, Mario Perrotta, Massimo Popolizio, Umberto Orsini, Fanny & Alexander, Oscar De
Summa, Enzo Vetrano and Stefano Randisi, Carrozzeria Orfeo, Compagnia Virgilio Sieni and MK. And many
great actresses as, Iaia Forte, Simona Marchini, Anna Foglietta, Paola Minaccioni, Maria Amelia Monti, Marina
Massironi, Anna Bonaiuto, Valentina Cervi, Lella Costa.
Among the most expected titles of the 2022/2023 season: David Bowie's rock opera "Lazarus" with Manuel
Agnelli, the theatrical transposition of "Mine Vaganti" by Ozpetek and the acclaimed work by Alessandro Serra
"The Tempest".
These are the essential elements that guide the 2022/2023 Season: the presence of the great protagonists of the
Italian scene and a mixture of genres and languages, ranging from classical to musical comedy to dance.
Alongside the 20 shows on the bill and dance proposals, there is the novelty of a special program designed for
young people, for schools and for children aged 3 to 8 (among which, the review at the Teatro degli Atti "New

capable of intriguing, involving and interesting the new generations of spectators.
The second novelty concerns is the Teatro no limits project, created in collaboration with the Diego Fabbri Center
in Forlì, which also offers the sighted and partially sighted persons the possibility to enjoy the emotions of a live
show.

Urban visions by Davide Frisoni

PERLarte project at the Rimini Conference Center (Palacongressi)
After the exhibition with the works of Luca Giovagnoli and Davide Conti, and of the sixteen students of the
Graphic Design 3 course of the LABA of Rimini (Free Academy of Fine Arts), is Davide Frisoni’s turn to propose
his works in a multipurpose space of Palacongressi, the Convivio space, the area that the Palacongressi of Rimini
has allocated to the PERLarte project, an initiative that adds a further element of knowledge of the territory
through the language of contemporary art and the enhancement of a local artist.
The exhibition by the Rimini artist Davide Frisoni offers international places from which the artist drew inspiration,
as well as of course the city of Rimini, a city dedicated to welcoming and meeting.
The exhibition is available to participants in the congresses scheduled at the Palacongressi in Rimini and by
reservation for citizens and tourists.
On December 16-17-18, Davide Frisoni's exhibition is open to the public with free admission from 4 to 7 pm.

New Year's opera: La Traviata

Opera by Giuseppe Verdi at the Galli Theater for the longest New Year's in the world
To greet the new year, from the Teatro Galli’s stage, 'La Traviata', an opera in three acts by Giuseppe Verdi on a
libretto by Francesco Maria Piave, based on the play by Alexandre Dumas (son) "The lady of the camellias",
considered the 'Verdi's most significant and romantic work, forming part of the so-called 'popular' trilogy, together
with Il Trovatore and Rigoletto.
La Traviata come back to Rimini ten years after the previous production organized by the Galli Choir in 2013, to
continue the tradition of staging works chosen among the most loved by the audience as well as of extraordinary
artistic and musical value. The City of Rimini Lyric Choir Amintore Galli Aps is accompanied by the Rimini
Chamber Orchestra conducted by Maestro Stefano Pecci.

Contemporary art exhibition at the City Museum
45 works of contemporary art by 36 artists, awarded in 2021 as part of the tender promoted by the Emilia-
Romagna Region to support the visual arts sector hit in the pandemic era, exhibited in Rimini, in the New Wing of
the City Museum.
The works, were selected by a jury made up of accredited experts in the sector (Gloria Bartoli, Walter Guadagnini
and Marco Pierini) with the aim of identifying "the variety of the research that is being developed in the Emilia-
Romagna area, a faithful mirror of the variety that characterizes the contemporary artistic panorama ".
The New Wing of the Museum will also host two extraordinary donations from the Bolognese patron

'The hotel of dreams' is born, a museum itinerary that opens the doors of the Grand Hotel of Rimini to discover the
places and stories of a national monument since 1994 and known throughout the world , thanks to Federico
Fellini.
Nine workstations positioned in the hotel's iconic places; the garden,the facade,the hall and the Tonino Guerra
room where stories are told through texts, photographs and short videos.
After an important restoration of the facade and external walls,the Grand Hotel reopens on February 18, 2022 to
present itself with renewed splendor in the new year.

Market of agricultural producers which takes place weekly every Friday in the area next to the Tiberio car park.
Here you can buy vegetables, fruit, organic products, cheeses, meats, oil, wine, honey and jams coming from

Marecchia parkrun
every Saturday
Timed foot race every Saturday morning
Parkrun organizes timed races of 5 km all around the world, a sport event which is open to everyone.
The run in Rimini is at the Marecchia Park every Saturday morning. Just register on the official website of parkrun
and bring with you a printout of the bar code at every race to get the chronometric detection time. The
participation is free.
The parkrun is entirely organized by volunteers and a refreshment point will be available to runners with coffee,
soft drinks and snacks.
A run together in a green space is fun and it is accessible to all, from beginners to more experienced runners.
