DOOR-TO-DOOR PICKUP In order to make your trip as smooth as possible, you will be collected from your door by taxi or mini bus and taken to meet the coach at either Radcliffe on Trent and Mount Street, Nottingham. This eliminates hours of travelling around pickup points and enables the coach to commence its journey promptly after loading, the reverse applies on return. This service is included in your tour cost providing you live within a 10-mile radius of Nottingham city centre. Enquire with our staff if you live outside this radius and arrangements can be made but may incur a small charge. Beverley, the charming streets and courtyards continue to attract history buffs, music lovers, racegoers and shoppers alike. Beverley Minster is one of the largest parish churches in the UK, regarded as a Gothic masterpiece and famed for its 13th century stone carvings and stained-glass windows. Today we visit the spectacular Christmas Tree Festival staged in this beautiful church. Last year there were over 90 trees, each one decorated and sponsored by a local community organisation, or local or national company. TUTANKHAMUN – TREASURES of the GOLDEN PHARAOH - SAATCHI GALLERY LONDON Thursday 5th March 2020 PR O 50 IC FR £4 E M The largest collection of King Tutankhamun’s treasures to leave 5. Egypt, is going on display at the Saatchi Gallery in Chelsea London. The exhibition is on show as part of the commemorations marking the centenary of the discovery of the tomb. Over 150 original artefacts from the tomb, including 60 that have never been outside Egypt before, will be on display with the exhibition focusing on the significance of Tutankhamun’s burial items and how they helped the king on his journey to everlasting life. Brigg offers you a unique shopping experience with everything you need for the home and garden. This afternoon we continue to Crowders Nurseries who have been trading for over 200 successful years, throughout seven generations of the Lincolnshire based Crowder family which opened in the early 1980s. The centre has a relaxed atmosphere and customers will find staff extremely helpful and sharing a genuine passion for gardening. Stock varies from bulbs and vegetables, plants, tools and garden furniture, lawn care, pet supplies, seeds and more. Anderton Boat Lift Visitor Centre to embark on a combined 00 lift and river cruise on the Edwin Clark. A commentary by the guide will help you discover the industrial heritage of the area and why the lift was so important then and now. There is a coffee shop for refreshment and a gift shop for souvenirs. This afternoon we continue to Jodrell Discovery Centre which has been awarded UNESCO World Heritage Site status. The observatory played a unique role in this momentous occasion, capturing the moment when the Eagle landed, carrying Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin, and touched down on the surface of the Moon in 1969.
