Draft 7/12/2021 Red Devil Welcome Week Saturday, August Go for the Maroon 14 & Gold August 14-25, 2021 Welcome Home Schedule of Events Saturday, August 14 – Welcome Home Time Activity Location Audience 8:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. New Student Check-In Outside All Students Description: At check-in you will get the keys, if you live Across the street from the red admissions house. on campus and check in for the Red Devil Welcome Program. All students will be assigned a welcome week Rain Location group. Each group will have the opportunity to compete Burgoo, Cerf Center and or participate in key events throughout the week. Groups will also have the opportunity to win prizes based on which events they participate in. 11:00 am – 12:30 pm Red Devil Lunch Dickinson Commons All Students 10:00 am—3:00 pm Check Check out outthe theEC ECBookstore book Store Bookstore, Cerf Center All Students Please contact Jill Fehr at jfehr@eureka.edu for additional information about buying your books for the semester. 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm Floor Meetings Various Locations Mandatory for New Description: During your first floor meeting you will meet Students Living On- your Resident Assistant (RA), an upper-class student who Campus will show you the ropes. During the meeting you will learn about important housing policies and procedures and meet your floor mates. 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm Commuter Student Meet Up Becker Auditorium, Cerf Center Mandatory for Description: During this meet up, you will have a chance Commuter Students to meet other students who commute to campus and learn more about the Red Devil Welcome Week schedule. 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm Dinner (Carnival Night) Dickinson Commons All New Students Description: After your floor meeting, go to dinner with you RA and floor mates for your first meal in the commons. 7:00 pm—9:00 pm Welcome Week Kick-Off Football Field All Students H os t e d b y H i g h I m p a c t All students will have the opportunity to participate in Field Day games (students will compete in their groups that were assigned to them during the check-in process). 9:00 pm-10:30 pm Go for the Gold Games Ben Major Lawn All Students Join the Campus Activities Board (CAB) for a night of competition, entertainment, delicious food, and more at the Go for the Gold Games! Students All humans have biases, "easy buttons" based on unconscious assumptions. No wonder inclusivity is so important at Eureka, for without it our diverse body of students don't have a sense of belonging.
