The annual Medicare Open Enrollment period is October 15 – December 7th. During this time any Medicare enrollee can change Medicare plans including Medicare Part D Drug Plans. For many individuals this is the only opportunity during the year to make coverage changes. The Coventry Senior Center is host to a certified CHOICES counselor. CHOICES is a FREE counseling program that helps Connecticut residents understand their Medicare coverage and other healthcare options. A CHOICES counselor can help review Medicare documents, and insure that you are enrolled in plan that meets your healthcare needs, including Medicare Supplemental Plans, Medicare Advantage Plans and Medicare Part D Drug Plans. Additionally, counselors can also help enroll individuals into the Medicare Savings Program, which can assist in the payments of Medicare benefits.
