The Context Average of women among ICT specialists in EU-28 is 17,2% (5.3 % less than in 2007), when Lithuania is among TOP 3 with ~25% (European Institute for Gender Equality) Average annual rate of change for the number of persons employed as ICT specialists by sex in the period 2006-2016 – Lithuania women 2,0 % (0,3 % in EU-28) compared to 6,6 % of men (4,1% in EU-28); By 2020 Lithuania will need additional 13.300 ICT specialists.
Mission Empowering Talents to Discover Tech We envision to create 500 success stories of women in tech by 2021 via: WHAT? Quality one to one mentoring sessions; Counseling sessions to provide expert knowledge; Community and content focused events; HOW? We bring the change on the society by human centric long term mentorship program run by professionals. We not only showcase, but also create the role models in tech. We include men and women to work on gender equality in tech. We work with leading tech companies in Lithuania, who commit to making a change. Women Go Tech and share their expertise providing quality content.
