Emergency food support This directory is provided to assist those that are unable to source or provide their required food and grocery supplies during the current pandemic. This directory includes emergency food relief, however it is apparent there are a number of specific needs that our community may have during this period. For those that are unable to access shops, a number of local businesses and supermarkets have adapted so that they can continue to provide you with goods and services. Council is continuing to operate many of its services for eligible members of our community that are elderly or have disabilities, including meals on wheels. And for those in need, several organisations providing free meals, food parcels and vouchers. While in isolation, you may notice friends, family or neighbours in your community that require assistance, and we encourage you to safely remain connected, where required to support each other or direct them to options that are available. Emergency food support Food support for charities If you are a charity operating in Port Phillip, Port Phillip Community Group is working collaboratively with Council to set up a central depot for the storage of large amounts of food and hygiene products that will be distributed to community organisations only. This is a collaboration between Council, coordinated by the Port Phillip Community Group, and supported by a range of project partners including Second Bite, Coles, RACV, Father Bob Foundation.
