of the Edward Schock Centre of Elgin. A true Dec 2
gem to the city, the Centre has provided the

Heartsaver CPR/AED
CPR/AED for Adult/Child. Heartsaver Courses are designed for
anyone with little or no medical training who needs a course
completion card for job, regulatory, (for example, USHA) or other
requirements. This course can also be taken by anyone who wants
to be prepared for an emergency in any setting. Heartsaver
certificates will be emailed out within 3-4 weeks after completion
of the class. Class will be held at the Elgin Fire Department, 650

The Rules of the Road review course is designed to give drivers,
including senior citizens and persons with disabilities, the
knowledge and confidence needed to pass the driver’s license
renewal exams. Taught by the Secretary of State’s Office, this

We try to accomodate all lap swimmers, there are times when lap lane availability

Aquatics - Adventure Island - The Centre
Aquatics Facilities Supervision Policy
Children 8 years of age and younger are not permitted
in City of Elgin aquatic facilities unless accompanied by
a parent or guardian at least 18 years or older. While
in the facilities, parents and guardians are responsible
for supervising children 8 years of age and under at all
times. Parent/Guardian must be in the water with children
5 years of age and younger. Lifeguards are on duty to
enforce rules and respond to emergencies. The Elgin
Parks and Recreation Department greatly appreciates all
of our patrons' assistance in following this important and
mandatory child supervision and safety policy.
Individuals not supervising their children in accordance
with this policy may be asked to leave the facility. The City
of Elgin reserves the right to refuse to register, or to expel

card.) Have your own private pool party! The Wing Park Family Aquatic
Center is available for rental on a first come first serve basis. Private
rentals are perfect for any occasion including birthday parties, group
outings, and end of the year parties. If desired, the concession stand
can be open for business for a fee. Concession fees includes attendant;
all additional food can be purchased throughout your rental.
Reservations and payments must be made at The Centre of Elgin,
100 Symphony Way during normal business hours. Reservations will
need to be secured at least 7 days in advance. For more information

Centre Camp has been a favorite for years. Children will be
involved in a wide variety of activities including games, crafts,
sports, themes, movies and more!! We will also go on a really cool
field trip each week. Our experienced staff will make sure that your
child has a great time each day at camp. Bring a lunch, snacks,
your swimsuit and towel each day and get ready for non-stop fun
