Choose between the standard 6-speed manual transmission or our newly developed available Intelligent Variable Transmission — designed to replicate the natural acceleration of conventional automatic shifting gears, but with the added benefit of greater fuel efficiency. Unique to the 2020 Elantra is the class-exclusive Safe Exit Alarm‡. When a vehicle
approaching from behind is detected, this available feature warns passengers
with an audible cue to help prevent them from stepping out onto the road. This
technology continues to monitor for up to 10 minutes after the ignition is turned off.

hyundaicanada.com When the vehicle is parked, Safe Exit Alarm (SEA) can alert occupants planning to exit the vehicle when a vehicle is approaching from behind. SEA does not prevent occupants from exiting. SEA may
not detect every vehicle and may not avoid an accident. SEA is not a substitute for attentive operation of the vehicle. Always monitor the vehicle’s surroundings before any passengers exit the vehicle.
