CHRISTIE LENEE - BASIC RIDER 2020-2021 The following is a guide only. It is our intent to make working with us a pleasant experience. We trust that your team is professional. We like working with nice people and want to entertain your audiences and be respectful to your production team. Thank You! TRAVEL: CHRISTIE LENEE is based in Ashville, North Carolina for a travel base. As touring artists she will often fly directly to your engagement via routed engagement tours (contact us for specific routing requirements). AIRFARE: PURCHASER agrees to provide and pay for, at no cost to ARTIST, (1*) Full-fare, Round-Trip non-stop (if possible) airline tickets. Transportation departure city will be based on tour routing from departure cities TBD to the place of engagement. She prefers Southwest, Star Alliance, OneWorld partner airlines whenever possible. In case of traveling by a train; only 1st class please. HOTEL: Hotel accommodations should be provided for 2 nights (an arrival day and a performance day.) For Solo Shows: 1-Single non-smoking deluxe room is to be provided by PURCHASER at PURCHASER'S sole cost and expense. Room should have 1 king size bed. If travel arrangements necessitate, the accommodations shall be provided one day prior to opening and one day after closing of said engagement. Hotels must be booked at 4 or 5 star or approved hotel. Note: We prefer that the hotel be as close as possible to facility. Covering of all additional expenses (breakfast, ironing, gym, mini bar). or per diem per musician.* For Trio Shows: 3-Single rooms (as above) For Full Band Shows: 5-Single rooms (as above) Should there be a question about accommodations, please contact Owen Kirschner (artist management) at 562-429- 3732. DAY OF PERFORMANCE: The PURCHASER, at their sole cost and expense, shall provide PRODUCER with the following for rehearsal(s) and performance(s) hereunder, including all necessary stage personnel, lighting, and sound technicians. LOAD-IN: Artist requests at least two hours of time prior to doors opening for load in and sound check. DRESSING ROOM: PURCHASER shall provide a private Dressing Room for the ARTIST, capable of being locked with key that will be handed to ARTIST, and with the best possible facilities available, including toilet, hand basin, hot and cold running water, mirror with make-up lights, Kleenex, towels, clothing rack with hangers, ironing board, iron, and electrical outlets. Dressing room should contain the following and be in the dressing room prior to arrival: A kettle or access to hot water with “Yogi Tea”, green tea, peppermint tea or a selection of herbal teas with lemons and honey. 1 bottle of red wine (preferably a nice Cabernet), Hot coffee available with coconut milk, almond milk, or coconut/almond milk creamer. Room temperature bottled water as listed above. MEALS/CATERING: For solo performances, Artist would like one hot meal for both artist and tour manager. Traveling members may vary, likewise artist requests to submit amount of traveling members prior to the show day with artist or artist's management. Christie’s dietary restrictions are gluten-free, dairy free and soy free. CHRISTIE LENEE - BASIC RIDER 2020-2021 Thai green or red curry with chicken and brown rice (if available). Sushi with vegetables and brown rice, salmon, avocado, or tuna. Seaweed salad is a top favorite. Absolutely NO shellfish as the artist is highly allergic and no pizza please. Christie would like a meal minimum of one hour, preferably two hours prior to performance. Meals (when her show includes the BAND), please provide all catering in the band green room or separate room from band green room when available. One 12 pack of a local craft beer BACK STAGE: Backstage area must remain secure. Only the artist's guests, band members and artist management shall be permitted backstage. Venue is of course permitted, with reasonable respect for the artist's privacy during the time of getting ready for the show. Management or artist must approve all persons requesting entrance to this area. SECURITY: proper security at all times to insure the safety of Artist, Artist's instruments, wardrobe, supporting personnel and personal property before, during and after each rehearsal and performance as well as securing the areas of the dressing rooms, stage areas and all exits and entrances to the facility. LIABILITY: As soon as Artist's materials, i.e. equipment, instruments, belongings are on the event property, Promoter shall do everything to protect said materials from damage or theft by third persons and is liable as such for said damage or theft. SOUND CHECK: We agree to one technical rehearsal / sound check. Artist requests for sound check time to be a generous hour when possible (though not always needed), and sound check allotted to complete one hour minimum prior to show time. REHEARSAL: In the event additional rehearsal(s) are required, all such rehearsal(s) shall be at the sole cost and expense of the PURCHASER. COMPLEMENTARY TICKETS: Artist requires Four (4) prime location tickets or reserved seats at no-charge. Seats must be held up until one (1) hour prior to show time but can then be released unless there is a sell-out, then management may be consulted about an earlier release of these seats. If the show is not sold out, artist has the right to request additional comp tickets. CONCERT/PERFORMANCE: Artist maintains absolute artistic freedom regarding the selection, order and presentation of the musical program and is free to accept or decline suggestions, recommendations, instructions, etc., which the Promoter/Presenter may wish to provide in-advance of Artist's performance. AFTER the CONCERT: Merchandise/CD's should be already available for sale, before the concert ends. The stand must be placed on the most crowded way, but queue should have enough space to wait. - CHRISTIE is always happy to sign the CDs and all other surfaces. A special place with a chair and table should be prepared for this action. - A reception or a dinner with concert organizers, VIP guests and friends are always welcomed (please see her food requests/allergies) below. Please allow the ARTIST enough time to pack up, refresh and change clothes. MERCHANDISING AND CONCESSIONS - ARTIST is sending by post or bringing the CD's with her. The suitable price for particular city and venue should be discussed before the concert. - In the pre-concert, intermission and post-concert, the hall direction or the concert organizers should inform the public about the opportunity to buy the CDs. - Posters are an optional item to sign and sell to public. CHRISTIE LENEE - BASIC RIDER 2020-2021 MARKETING AND PUBLICITY: The PURCHASER agrees to use only the approved marketing photos and materials provided. And further agrees that all advertising and publicity is subject to PRODUCERS approval prior to release. PURCHASER will not permit ARTIST'S name or likeness to be used or associated with, directly or indirectly, any product or service without PRODUCER'S written consent. Interviews for newspapers and TV/Radio are welcomed before the rehearsal. She is often on television and radio and if time they will do a short performance segment with the host. PLOT PLANS (please see attached for SOLO, TRIO, FULL BAND Shows) Please note: Acoustic Amp is not noted on stage plots, however, when applicable artist prefers it on stage left, using the DI out of the amp for the main acoustic channel (thank you). TECHNICAL RIDER (for the best performance) BACKLINE: Minimum of 3 Guitar stands, or 1 Multi-Stand Capable of holding 3 large body guitars. A low profile table: measuring approximately 30" H x 20" W x 20" D Artist will bring her own CAD Audio Live D90 mic, but will require 1 boom mic stand. (No straight mic stand.) For Christie’s Solo Shows: (1) high-quality acoustic guitar amp (preference AER, California Blonde, Fishman Loudbox or equivalent), or a Bose L-Series System. Please note: Acoustic Amp is not noted on stage plot, however, when applicable artist prefers it on stage left, using the DI out of the amp for the main acoustic channel. Microphone stands etc. (see plot plan) For Christie’s Band (trio or quintet) shows: (1) high-quality acoustic guitar amp (see above). (1) high-quality electric guitar tube amp (Fender Deluxe, Fender Deluxe Reverb or equivalent). (1) 5-piece drum kit (Yamaha, Tama, DW) with cymbals, throne, hardware. (1) high-quality bass amp (Ampeg, GK, Aguilar, Markbass or equivalent), 300 Watts or more. *When applicable, (1) 88-Keyed weighted professional keyboard (Yamaha, Roland, etc) *When applicable, (2) – (4) additional microphones & (2) – (4) additional boom stands (TBD per show). Microhones/ Microphone stands (see plot plans) Christie will be in contact with the sound engineer at least 1 week prior to show to discuss band size (when applicable), otherwise the show will be performed solo. SOUND: A high quality front of house sound system. The system shall include a mixing board and a vocal microphone and direct boxes to amplify all the performers, and a reasonable amount of standard outboard gear – the musician travels with her own pedal board system. The sound system must be completely installed and in good working condition upon arrival of Artist. Effects should be patched, stage wired, and monitors positioned/connected. We will require the house sound engineer to be at venue from beginning of load-in through end of load-out. Artist will not be traveling with a sound engineer (unless notified in advance), and will require the FOH engineer (and monitor engineer when applicable) to be at venue from load in through end of load out. CHRISTIE LENEE - BASIC RIDER 2020-2021 System's main mix must be stereo (no mono). Equipment List o Sound system provided should be a professional full range concert system flown correctly and capable of producing a frequency spectrum of 40hz to 20 khz, 100db, A-Weighted at all seats in the house. o System must consist of mid-high top enclosures and subs. o System must be at least 3-way with appropriate power for the room. (Amps should be Pro Touring quality). o Console must be professional touring quality, preferably digital, with a minimum of 24 channels such as a Behringer X32, Midas M32, Yamaha digital (or equivalent), and have 4 x parametric/quasi- parametric EQ bands on each channel. o Stereo main mix with minimum 31 Band Graphic EQ control over the system, especially if digital board is not available. EQ's must be easily accessible from mix position. o Minimum 2 high quality monitor wedges (if possible, 3 monitors), such as JBL VRX, SRX or equivalent, on 1 x Pre Aux Mix for solo shows, and minimum of 3 mixes with 1 wedge each for band shows (trio or up to 6 piece band). All EQs accessible from mix position. o If available, SL and SR side fills on 2x Post Aux Mixes with EQ accessible from mix position. o Engineer is to have full access to all system processing. o If there is no access to a digital sound console with effect processors, One industry standard digital reverb unit (Lexicon, TC, Yamaha etc) and One industry standard delay unit (TC D2, 2290 etc), patched from AUX send and returning stereo or mono. o Hand held microphone at mix position for talk to stage communication with artist and for announcements. STAGE REQUIREMENTS (each venue is different and we welcome working with you for the best staging) On stage AC Power (1) quad boxes on a 110/115 Volts circuits each with adequate earth to sound connections. One (1) near each guitar efx pedal boards LIGHTING (each venue is different and we welcome working with your lighting director for the best lighting). Suggested color washes on stage should be mainly different shades of blue, with white, red, pink and orange accents. Please NO GREEN. Other Effects welcome. The Artist must be brightly lit at all times with professional, multi-angle lighting system capable of basic washes, colors and specials. A qualified LD must be present for entire performance, with Clear--Com communication between stage and lighting positions (if not within speaking distance). Please No auto-chasing or xenon strobes.
