Day 2–Cairo Upon arrival in Cairo, you will be met by our travel representative in Egypt and transferred to your hotel for overnight. Day 3 –Cairo (Pyramids, Museum) After breakfast your private Egyptologist tour guide and driver will pick you up and start your tour. Drive to Giza and visit the Pyramids. See the Great Pyramid, a royal burial chamber and the Sphinx. Lunch en route. Visit the Egyptian Museum; this houses a magnificent collection of Pharaonic antiquities, especially the golden treasures of Tut Ankh Amun. Return to hotel for overnight (B,L) Day 4 – Luxor (Karnak & Luxor Temple) Upon arrival to Luxor, our representative will pick up you for embarkation on your Nile Cruise. visit the great Luxor Temple and the magnificent Karnak Temple of Amun with its famous Hypostyle Hall and the 134 huge columns, the Statue of Ramses II, the Obelisk of Queen Hatshepsut and the Sacred Lake. Overnight in Luxor (B, L, D) Day 5 –Luxor (West Bank) In the morning your sightseeing in Luxor includes the West Bank (Thebes) where some of the richest treasures in the world exists, including the Tomb of Tut Ankh Amun (optional) and other royal tombs including Ramses VI in the Valley of the Kings, you will be able to visit some of these tombs, Visit Hatshepsut funerary temple at Dier El Bahari and the Colossi of Memnon.
Then transfer back to your Cruise for lunch. In the afternoon you will sail through the locks of Esna to Edfu and dinner on board and Overnight. (B, L, D) Day 6 – (Edfu & Kom-Ombo) In the morning, Sail to Edfu, visit Edfu temple, than sail to Kom Ombo, where you will visit the Sobek Temple, dedicated to the two gods, which offers beautiful murals and reliefs. Sail to Aswan and Overnight (B, L, D) Day 7 – (High Dam, Philae temple, Felucca) After breakfast you will visit the High Dam, and Philae Temple. In the afternoon you will sail on an Egyptian felucca around Elephantine Island and the Botanical Gardens on Kitchener Island and the Agha Khan Mausoleum. Overnight in Aswan (B, L, D) Day 8 - Aswan (Free day at leisure) Breakfast, free day at leisure. Lunch, dinner on board. (B,L,D) Day 9 –Aswan / Kom Ombo/ Edfu After breakfast, sail to Kom Ombo, sail to Edu. Overnight in Edfu (B, L, D) Day 10 – Edfu/Esna/ Luxor Breakfast, sail to Esna. P.m sail to Luxor, dinner and overnight on board (B, L, D) Day 11 –Luxor / Cairo After breakfast, disembarkation from the ship, transfer to Luxor airport for your flight back to Cairo, transfer to your hotel in Cairo. (B) Day 12 – Cairo COVID19 testing day. This a free day at your Cairo hotel for your COVID19 rapid testing day prior to returning to Australia. A qualified medical representative will come to your hotel to administer the test. The results will be delivered back to the hotel for you to present to the Australian authorities when you return to Australia. Most of the day you will be able to relax by the pool and enjoy some free time using the hotel facilities. (B) Day 13 – Cairo departure Breakfast, transfer to Cairo airport for your finale departure. Safe travel requirements A COVID-19 test must be taken 48 hours prior to departure from Australia and proof of a negative result submitted to the airline at check-in, along with your medical certificate showing a double vaccinated status. Egypt Entry Requirements There is currently no travel ban for tourist arriving Egypt. A COVID9 test maybe required on arrival. COVID19 rates have been high in Egypt and you should not go there unless you have been fully vaccinated. Returning to Australia - Pre-departure COVID-19 testing If you're travelling to Australia, you must provide evidence of a negative COVID-19 PCR or RT-PCR test to your airline when checking in for your flight at the departure point (exemptions apply). Rapid antigen tests will not be accepted. Testing must be conducted at an accredited testing facility, a self-administered COVID-19 test undertaken at home without supervision is not acceptable. • You must be tested 72 hours or less prior to the scheduled flight departure • If you or a primary close contact of your travelling group tests positive, you won't be allowed to travel to Australia. • Masks must be worn on all international flights, including at airports. Local authorities and airlines may have additional requirements in place for departures. We recommend you check these before arriving at the airport. If you're transiting through other destinations during your trip, check on any local requirements at each transit destination and confirm any specific requirements for onward travel with your airline. Only get tested through verified official testing centres. Scammers are taking advantage of travellers by charging for fake tests. If you're unsure where to get tested, contact the local health authority for advice. You'll still need to provide evidence of a negative COVID-19 PCR test result even if you’ve been vaccinated. If you’ve had a COVID-19 vaccine, you should carry your vaccination certificate along with your negative PCR test results while travelling to Australia, especially if you have one or more transit stops. Some destinations may ask for proof of testing and vaccination before allowing you to transit through or cross their border. We highly recommend you read My Travel Experience booking conditions prior to making your holiday reservations. This is the contract under which both parties enter, therefore we request that you only make a booking if you agree with these conditions. This is a summary in brief for our customers: 1. Upon making a reservation with My Travel Experience you will receive a booking form, which needs to be filled out and signed to confirm that you agree to the terms and conditions. 2. Your booking will then be confirmed to you in writing and you will be required to pay a deposit to hold your reservation. 3. At this time, you must take out travel insurance for your holiday to protect you against any unforeseen circumstances. 4. Around 90 days prior to departure you will be asked to make the balance payment for your trip (the exact due date for your travel supplier will be advised at the time of booking). 5. 10 days prior to departure you will be sent your travel documents via email. My Travel Experience operates a Client Trust bank account. This means that we do not hold your money. We pay the ultimate travel providers (Suppliers) of your travel services the funds for your holiday. The Suppliers include airlines, tour operators, cruise lines, transport companies, hotels etc. We are required to pay the Suppliers deposits and final payments to secure your booking and in some instances these items are non-refundable. If you wish to cancel you must notify us of your cancellation in writing. We will then write to the Suppliers to cancel your booking and request a refund (if applicable) for any elements of your holiday that are refundable. You will need to make an insurance claim for any travel arrangements that are non-refundable. If you have any issues during the refund or cancellation process, you have 30 days to contact our office in writing to lodge a complaint so an immediate resolution can be found for you.
