Box 629 Lusk, WY 82225 To View the Electronic Newsletter, visit: http://www.growingluskkeaders.org New Year, New you– Budget Friendly & Healthy Recipe Easy Shepherd's Pie Recipe Ingredients 2-3 cups mashed potatoes ½ pound ground beef (or turkey) ½ onion, chopped 2 tsp. oregano 2 Tblsp. Cornstarch 3 cups milk 2 cups (or 1 can) mixed veggies such as peas, carrots, and corn. 1-2 cups shredded cheese Salt and pepper to taste. Instructions Brown ground beef with onion. Mix in oregano and cornstarch. Stir in milk and cook over medium heat until thick and bubbly. Drain veggies (if using canned), and add to gravy. Pour into greased casserole dish. Sprinkle cheese on top. Spread mashed potatoes over the cheese. Top with more cheese if desired. SPECIAL POINTS OF INTEREST: Mar 1-5—Spring Break No School Mar 9– Enrichment Day Introducing Phil Garhart: Mar 12– 7:00pm I just want to take the time to thank the Board of Trustees, Aaron Carr, Stuart Larson, Board Meeting George Mirich, the Niobrara County School Staff members and the community members for Mar 16– coming to the high school on Sunday, 2/11/2018 for my community forum and interview. I’m Enrichment Day very excited to have the opportunity to serve the students and families of Niobrara County. Teacher I started my college career at Dickinson State College and finished my undergraduate de- Conference 8am gree at Black Hills State University. I then began teaching Geography at Spearfish High -4pm School. After two years at Spearfish I taught Science, Social Studies, PE and Health in Bon Mar 26– 7:00pm Homme County School District 4-2 in Tyndall South Dakota for 4 years. I was the head Board Meeting wrestling coach at the high school and was the middle school football coach. I received the honors of being wrestling coach of the year for three out of my four years and was honored Mar 30– Easter to be able to coach the Cavaliers to a State Championship, runner up, a third and a fourth Break place finish. I then moved back to my home town of Newcastle WY and taught high school Government/Economics, US History and Physical Education for 9 years. I was the head wrestling coach and middle school football coach. Next I received my master’s degree from All teachers in Grand Canyon University in Education Administration and I took the high school principal Niobrara County job at Wyoming Indian High School. I served as the high school principal for 9 years and then was offered the Human Resource/ Activities Director position.
