Hello Tena koutou Talofa lava Fakaalofa atu Talofa ni Malo e lelei Kia orana Ni sa bula vinaka Malo ni Te Kura o Wairau News Mā mātou te Wairautanga e whakaoti Our ‘Pasifika Pride’ roopu and ‘He Hau Pihi ki Hine’ roopu have been working hard and learning lots of new things during our Wairautanga block. Te Kura o Wairau Its great to see so many of our tamariki having a go. Well done students and well done Ms Etuale and Whaea Darnielle. Kia Ora Koutou Whanau & Friends of Welcome Te Kura o Wairau We would like to welcome Shardae, Nevaeh, Jahlia & their families to the Te Kura o Wairau First Aide Training On Saturday 20th March we are taking part in First Aid community. training at our kura. This training will support us in our roles at Te Kura o Wairau if there is an emergency or situation Assembly where support is required. I am very proud of my staff for being available to upskill their knowledge around safety. There was no assembly on the 12th of March due Our Board of Trustees invests in this training which shows to the Teacher Only day. The next assembly will their level of support for us all. be held on Friday the 26th of March at 2.15pm. Room 1 will be presenting. Do come along and join New Cycle Track us. Work has begun this week on our latest school project. The digger driver has been dismantling our fitness track and digging out the cycle track in preparation for the concrete to be poured. The truck driver has been placing big piles of dirt on our field. This dirt will be used to make our pump track and also some mounds around the trees by the senior playground that our students can sit and play on. Ka Pai Wairau Warriors Flipperball Team for being such awesome fairplay players! Hockey Last week the Wairau Warriors played the Whakarongo Bears. The Player of the Day was Maihi Manukura. This week Wairau Warriors played the Riverdale Tigers. The Player of the Day was Arapeta. We won both games. Room 8’s Robots have been inspired by the novel ‘The Lost Robot’ which they have been reading in class.
