Art & Creativity Camps Week 1 Chinese Speech and Drama By Tanglin Trust School Boost your child’s interest and confidence in Chinese with our Chinese speech and drama camp. Mandarin Immersion Camp By Joy Connections Joy Connections Meiyu Singapore runs an award winning Mandarin Music programme that has been established in Taiwan since 1983, with multiple accolades in China, Hong Kong and Taiwan. We will go on an interesting musical journey in the aquatic world filled with lots of music making, instrument exploration with the main aim of immersing your child in a Mandarin environment! To make learning really memorable, there will be crafts to make and bring home during the camp. Food and Mandarin Immersion By Joy Connections Food, food, food! We love eating food, but we love playing with food even more! And because we love food so much, we learn a whole world of Mandarin built around food! Build language skills, pick up some cooking skills and learn how to make a traditional food popularly eaten during Dragon Boat Festival. We will be cooking up a storm this season, and learning to read some recipes in Mandarin. Children will be given recipes in Mandarin, and learn relevant vocabulary and sentences. Additional Information Camp Registration Sign-up for camp activities will be on a first-come-first-served basis: ● Sign-up opens on Saturday 12 February at 9am ● Sign-up closes on Monday 28 February at 9am ● Parents will know the outcome of their camp choices via email on Tuesday, 1 March 2022 at 5pm The fee for camps will be requested once camps are confirmed, therefore please do not make any payments until then. Please note that some of our camps will be oversubscribed and therefore places will be released to waitlisted families, if payment remains outstanding past the due date. Full and final details will be shared by email in the week prior to camp. This will include pick-up and drop-off information, as well as a camp kit list. > Additional Lunchtime Arrangements Under current restrictions the lunchtime supervision “add on” can be offered free of charge for those that pick a morning and an afternoon camp. We will contact you about this once camp selections have been made and confirmed. A polite reminder that we are a nut free school and we thank you in advance for your support. Bus Transport A bus service will be offered subject to demand and route and as such cannot be guaranteed. There is a fee charged to use the bus service and this fee is in addition to the fee charged to attend the camps. The fee is based on the service requested and the location and is charged per student, per week. If you wish to book buses for the camps, please complete the following form to show interest: Transport Form This form will also close at 9am on Monday 28 February. Applications received after this time may not be accepted due to bus route planning conflicts. Transport services will be in contact with those families who have requested a bus service regarding payment in the week after the form closes. Camp Refunds Policy Due to fixed costs associated with the Holiday Programme, refunds will not be offered for places on camps booked. Please note, should the Holiday Programme have to close as a result of COVID-19 restrictions, a full refund will be provided.
