Introduction $108,559,836. That’s a big number. If you add in Zachys retail, we top $153,000,000 in global sales. In fact, it’s Zachys Auction’s second biggest number ever. If you include retail, 2021 was our most successful year ever thanks to two things: our dedicated team, and you, our international wine- loving friends. 2021 saw many firsts for Zachys. We sold the most expensive case of wine ever, a six-magnum OWC of 1990 Romanée-Conti for US$597,600. We partnered with Premiere Napa Valley, the first auction house to do so in their 25-year existence, to hold an auction that was more successful than even the 2019, pre-COVID-19 event. We held “the Conscious Collection” in partnership with Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits and the Wine Spectator. This auction was like none we’ve ever done and included a six-figure “dinner with Sting in Italy lot.” But we raised over $1m for restaurant worker relief in the middle of COVID-19. We were the first auction house “back at it,” with live, in-person auctions at Zuma and Le Bernardin in New York City. Both were standing room only events of fully-vaccinated wine lovers bidding and tasting like the old days, I.e., March 2020. We held 22 live and studio sales across three regions and 30 online sales. We had Spirits-Only auctions, Champagne-Only auctions, single-owner live and online auctions. We sold 31,118 lots and 164,761 bottles. We sold 28 lots over $100,000. We sold “Ian Mill QC 2,” we sold “The Vault IV,” we sold “Treasures from the Estate of Tawfiq Khoury,” and many anonymous offerings including “The X-Factor” and “The Grand Cellar.” Most importantly, we did it all safely! We had many satisfied consignors in 2021. Comments like “the team that came to my house to pick up the wine was safe and efficient,” “your catalogs are the best in the industry,” and “the whole experience from the initial call to the final payout was smooth, easy and effortless,” were the norm. What’s more impressive to me is that we are on a tear unlike any I’ve seen in my career. We already have several single-owner auctions in all three regions lined up for 2022, and the most popular sale of the year—the March 10 & 11 sale in celebration of La Paulée is already filling up. If you have Burgundy (or even non-Burgundy) it would be crazy not to consider putting it into this sale at Le Bernardin! Thank you to everyone who made this year so successful. Hope to see you in person in 2022. Sincerely, Jeff Zacharia President 4 2021 Year In Review

Studio & Live Auction Success In 2020, Zachys pioneered the “Studio Sale,” the live-streamed version of our auctions—we were not only the first wine auction house to hold one, we were the first auction house, period. They didn’t slow us down at all, in fact, the opposite. They allowed us to be nimbler, and prices realized increased. Though the majority of 2021 was “Studio Sales,” we were also the first auction house to return to live, in-person auctions, with October’s “the X Factor” and December’s “The Vault IV & The Holiday Auction.” We sold 28 lots over $100,000, 127 lots $50,000-$99,999 and 1,945 lots $10,000-$49,999. Our average lot value in live sales was $6,675. What’s more, we had 2,398 successful bidders in 32 different countries! Asian Success $27,580,207. Hello from Hong Kong! Zachys Hong Kong saw a nearly $5.75m increase in sales from 2020, an enormous sum. What’s more, with an average realized price of over $7,300 per lot (beating the global average by nearly $1,000), Zachys Hong Kong continues to focus on the rarest of the rare. This is a testament to the hard work of the team based in Hong Kong. Led by me, and supported not only by the local team, but by colleagues in Shanghai and Beijing. In addition to being a successful year for the sale site (despite not having an in-person auction since fall of 2019) my Asia team continues its support of the EU and USA auctions. Indeed, 44% of Zachys global sales sold to clients in Asia. Much of this was to buyers in Hong Kong, but China, Taiwan, Thailand, and Singapore were not far behind. We’re excited for what 2022 has in store, with several big sales already in the works! Sincerely, Terrence Tang New York • Hong Kong • London • Washington, D.C. European Success $8,700,425. The United Kingdom and Europe have always been a fertile ground for Zachys consignments. When we launched UK as a sale site in 2020, we had high hopes of making a splash. COVID-19 hampered our efforts, and did so again in 2021, but no matter: we still excelled. Our bidding parties were more successful than ever, from Geneva to Stockholm to Dusseldorf. Not only did we have single-owner spirits sales including the “Water of Life,” we were delighted to welcome back the Private Collection of Ian Mill QC Part II, a blockbuster sale which sold above the high estimate with nearly half the auction resulting in world record prices. We also launched online auctions in the EU this year. In addition to the sales numbers, Europe continues to be a valuable “feeder” for our Hong Kong and US auctions. Lastly, we’re delighted to begin 2022 with a new “Head of European Sales,” Steve Weids, who comes to us with over a decade in the wine business. Christy Erickson is remaining with Zachys in an advisory role, but transitioning from her day to day responsibilities. She will retain her Zachys email and phone, so you’ll know how to be in touch! Spirit Success $4,560,953. Spirits was by far one of the biggest success stories of 2021. Not only did we hold several “Spirits Only” auctions, but our spirits sales also surpassed several key regions in total sales: Champagne ($2.7m), Tuscany ($1.4m) and Piedmont ($1.4m). We had over 700% growth in the spirits sector and our overall average lot value was $3,383, the highest ever for Zachys. Led by our Hong Kong department, Japanese whisky was the #1 seller in 2021 with $1.9m in sales across 426 bottles, or 290 lots. It was followed closely by Scotch with $1.5m in sales across 613 bottles, or 487 lots. Top Regions It will surprise no one that Burgundy was our “top region” of the year, in terms of total sales. DRC was the leader in the region, followed by Domaine Leroy and Domaine Rousseau. These few producers are bound to result in the highest totals, due to the sheer volume of bottles sold. There are other producers, however, that had truly banner years—their rise year-on-year was truly meteoric. If you have any of these wines in your cellar, you may want to consider offering them for sale in 2022. Rene Engel surpassed its pre-auction estimates by 172%. Bizot took off and surpassed its estimates by 111%. AF Gros: 104% over the low estimate. The numbers go on and on. The Napa Valley Vintners When the Napa Valley Vintners asked if we could help to bring their legendary Premiere Napa Valley auction into the modern era, we became the first ever auction partner of the 25-year old event and co-created “Direct from the Cellar: the Napa Valley Library Wine Auction, powered by Zachys.” In February of 2021 this auction of 96 lots realized $933,100 against a starting total bid of $48,000 ($500 per lot). This success was followed by Premiere Napa Valley, which was atypically held in June and went off without a hitch. The energy in the air was palpable as over 100 bidders and guests showed up in Napa to raise $2,669,000 from 149 lots, a figure which, on a per-lot basis, exceeded the 2020 pre-pandemic auction. If you add up every bid, Zachys accepted nearly $30,000,000 in bids for the auction. $ 933,100 96 $ 9,719 3427 AVG. The Conscious Collection When the final hammer fell for The Conscious Collection: A Virtual Fine Wine & Spirits Auction, Zachys had helped raise $1,477,600 for the Barstool Fund, an organization dedicated to supporting hospitality businesses that have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. With additional donations from Wine Spectator Magazine and Aviation Gin, the total raised by the sale was over $1.6 million. The success of this special Conscious Collection + Zachys auction was a team effort, in more ways than one. Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits, Vinous, and Wine Spectator Magazine sponsored the event, while chef, restaurateur, best-selling author and Emmy Award-winning television personality Guy Fieri; Barstool Sports Founder Dave Portnoy; Antonio Galloni, Founder of Vinous; as well as the Wall Street Journal all collaborated and contributed to help make this Zachys auction a success. zCollections $12,089,424 and 95% sold across 30 auctions. Zachys online auctions are one of the most exciting ways to sell wine. Same great wines, same great prove- nance (indeed, most consignments are “splits” from live sales) with a slightly lower average lot value of $762 vs. $6675 for live. One of the greatest ways in which Zachys differs is our ability to market and sell “single owner” online auc- tions like no other. Eight of the 30 online sales this year were dedicated to single owners. Think you need a million dollars of wine for a single-owner? Think again. Zachys has held single-owner sales with $100,000 of wine. What that means is that regardless of the size of your collection, the full weight of the Zachys marketing machine falls to your collection. TESTIMONIAL I sold a single-owner online sale at the beginning of November 2021. The whole experience with Zachys was a fantastic one. I wasn’t the biggest consignment of the year, not by far, but I’d spent a long time putting my collection together, and the Zachys team treated me, and the wines, like I was the top client of the year. They came up with a marketing plan, promoted my wines all over the world, and the collection ended up selling for over the high estimate. Sauternes, Burgundy, California wines. It took me a long time to put the collection together and they treated it like what it was—important. – The White Gold Consignor November 2021 Est: $120,000-$184,000 Realized $189,477 18 2021 Year In Review

Simply The Best We are proud of what this team has accomplished in 2021. For you, as a consignor or buyer (or both), there’s one thing that matters: the gavel to gavel white glove service with which we handle your wines, on both sides of the auction. We like working at one of the biggest fine wine businesses in the world, but what difference does that make when it comes down to deciding where to purchase the rarest, oldest, most valuable wines? Or consign them? What matters when those decisions are made is not who is the biggest, but who is the best. Who looks after you and your wines, from the initial pick up to the final payout for consignments and from the inspection to the final delivery for buyers. We are attentive to all the details that result in a successful auction, we make sure consignors are paid on time. On the buyer side, we make sure you can bid with confidence, that you’re getting what you expect, and that Zachys delivers. That’s not to say that prices we realize for our consignors don’t matter, of course they do! Zachys is the only firm that can bring the full weight of the biggest fine wine retail division in the world to create maximum value for our consignors. But—the thing that makes us most proud to work here is the team. Yes, Zachys has been in business for 77 years and, yes, the senior team has a couple of hundred years’ experience, combined. And while Zachys position as an institution in the fine wine world should offer you a great deal of reassurance as either a buyer or a seller, it’s not what matter during the actual day-to-day process of buying and selling wine. What matters is the current staff. And we are proud to say that we’ve compiled the best team we’ve ever worked with in our decades in the auction business. From Los Angeles to Napa Valley to Florida to Europe and the UK to Hong Kong to Beijing, we have such a wealth of perspectives and personalities, all focused on fine wine, that we can’t help but offer you the best experience in the wine auction world. Can’t wait to see what 2022 has in store. If you’d like to be a part of our upcoming auctions email us at consignments@zachys.com.
