In 2014, the Ce tification Management Team (i.e.
ANAC, EASA, FAA, TCCA) ag eed to g eate
collabo ation between autho ities...

In 2015, the U.S.- EU Bilate al Ove sight Boa d (BOB)
di ected Ce tification Ove sight Boa d (COB) to
develop Validation Imp ovement Roadmap (VIR)
Objective: By 2022, educe validation effo t (time and costs)
to a level of 20% compa ed to fi st TIP implementation in
2011
COB developed VIR in sync with the CMT objectives
COB VIR app oved on 29 Feb ua y 2016
COB will annually eview VIR implementation and
adjust as necessa y

Optimize implementation of the BASA by
enhancing acceptance of ce tificating autho ity
(CA) approvals and findings of compliance

maximize acceptance by the validating
autho ity (VA), without any technical
