Please check www.familydaycare.com often for the most up to date information. We are currently offering indoor, outdoor and virtual services as follows: Note: Pre-registration is required. SPACES ARE LIMITED FOR ALL PROGRAMS. Indoor Programs: We will be offering limited indoor programs. To register for an indoor program, click on the links in description section starting on page 4 to register on Eventbrite. In order to ensure the safety of everyone involved, we will be following all of the health and safety protocols and guidelines as set out by York Region Public Health. Note: Pre-registration is required for all programs. Outdoor Programs: We will be offering outdoor programs for families with children from birth to 6 years of age. We will be exploring the outdoors and engaging in physical activity together. In order to ensure the safety of everyone involved, we will be following all of the health and safety protocols and guidelines as set out by York Region Public Health. Please see more information about program registration through Eventbrite starting on page 4. Zoom Programs: We’re using Zoom, a web-based video-conferencing tool, to offer virtual programs for families. Participants can join these programs through the internet or by phone. See the following pages for program descriptions, dates/times, and registration links. To register for a Zoom program, click on the link provided to register on Eventbrite. If you need help with registration, please email (earlyonmarkhameast@familydaycare.com)or phone (905-471-1620, M-F, 8:30-1:30pm, except holidays). Facebook: Join our EarlyON educators in our private Facebook group, EarlyON @ Family Day, for live programming Monday to Friday (except holidays) at 9am- the video will remain posted until 4pm. The 1pm session will now be called the Interactive Family Experience and will not be live. It will allow you to engage and will remain available for 1 week. To join our Facebook group, please visit https://www.facebook.com/groups/FDEarlyON/ Storypark: Storypark is a secure, private online community space for our EarlyON families. For more information on Storypark please go to www.storypark.com. EarlyON Educators post announcements, videos and resources every week including songs, stories, home-based learning activities and parenting resources. Families have access to these resources anytime of the day. Families also have an opportunity to share their own ideas and comment. If you are interested in joining in with other families on this community platform, please send us an email. One-on-One Parent/Caregiver Support Sessions and Phone Support Services: Our EarlyON Educators can provide you with information about our programs and services and how to access them. In the One-on-One Sessions, they can assist you with any questions or concerns regarding your child's development or parenting/family and information about other local services. Give us a call or email us from Monday to Friday between (8:30-1:30pm) at (905-471-1620). Outside of these times, please leave a message and we will return your call as soon as possible. Indoor/Outdoor Program Registrations: Please make sure to add ALL names of CHILDREN AND ADULTS that are attending in your family. PLEASE NO CHANGING OR ADDING NEW PEOPLE FROM WEEK TO WEEK. 2. Waitlist: Please add yourself to the waitlist if the group is full; we will contact you if a spot becomes available. 3. Ontario Covid-19 Screening Tool: Please screen yourself and all adults and children attending using the online tool and email to us before each session. https://covid-19.ontario.ca/school-screening/ 4. Outdoor programs will be offered rain or shine. We encourage you to dress for the weather to enjoy a full outdoor experience. You will be notified if the program is cancelled due to inclement weather. INDOOR PROGRAMS AT 40 WASHINGTON ST. Infant Massage (In-Person or Virtual) (Ages: Birth to 8 months) ***Please pick either in-person or virtual, they will take place simultaneously. This program promotes nurturing touch and communication and teaches parents how to massage their babies, read the babies cues and help with bonding and attachment. Supporting and encouraging parents to trust their abilities and intuition are part of the process. Sessions: In-Person Wednesdays March 2, 9, 16, 23, 30 at 10-11:15 am. Click here to register. Parents and caregivers engage in activities with their children including, arts and crafts, sensory activities, songs and rhymes. Sessions: Fridays March 4, 11, 18, 25 at 9:30-11am. Click here to register. Preschool STEAM (Indoors) (Ages: 2-6 years) This program invites parents, caregivers, and children to explore STEAM skills and concepts in a group setting. STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math) learning happens every day as children investigate, play, communicate, and try new things. Family Time (Indoors) (Ages: 0 to 6 years) –Please sign up for ONLY ONE Family Time Program Family Time is for parents/caregivers and their children to meet others and play interactively in an early learning environment. Parents as Partners: Nutrition Series In the March Parents as Partners Series, we will welcome Registered Dietitian and parent mealtime coach, Ahuva Magder Hershkop, who will focus on how to reduce mealtime stress, support positive family mealtimes, raise intuitive eaters and support parents in reducing the mental load of feeding their families. Parents/ caregivers of children ages birth to 6 years may attend any of the Parents as Partners workshops. Feeding your child is a learned skill and a continuous learning experience. If you're ready to learn how to raise an intuiti ve eater, how to promote healthful eating relationships and how to create a positive food culture at home, bring your questions to this session ! One-on-One Triple P Primary Care Consultations (Ages: 6 months-6 years) Our Triple P trained staff will schedule a one-on-one phone or Zoom consultation to discuss your concerns on the topics below. Through the consultations, you will be provided with practical tools and strategies that you can use for handling challenging behaviours. The consultation would involve a half-hour scheduled consultation and be followed by 2 to 4 more consultations to provide support and help to develop a parenting plan to better manage your children’s challenging behavior.
