                           Besides classic commercial professions,
                           the duisport Group has specialized in the
                           various operational professions in the logi-
                           stics industry. As the world‘s largest inland
                           port, there is great demand for well-trained
                           experts, and, with its wide range of training
                           opportunities, duisport also focuses on
                           valuable specialist and niche occupations.
                           In-house training for a company‘s own
                           needs is a valuable asset and provides
                           security, both for the employee and the
                           employer.

                           The number of trainees who start at the
                           Port of Duisburg each year varies. The
                           record was 21 training positions in 2019.
                           In 2020, duisport was able to fill 15 new
                           training positions – a very good result in
                           a year of global crisis. Not every training
                           profession is also offered every year, so the
                           numbers differ slightly from year to year.
                           In total, approximately 50 employees are
                           always in training.

                           Currently, the proportion of female trainees
                           in the duisport Group is 30.77 percent.
