The Dead Feminists series is an ongoing collaboration
between illustrator Chandler O’Leary and letterpress
printer Jessica Spring, begun in 2008. The series
features quotes by historical feminists, tied in with Postcard at actual size
current political and social issues. Our limited-edition
broadsides are letterpress printed from hand-drawn
lettering and illustrations. Each broadside benefits a
nonprofit cause that aligns with the issue highlighted by
the artwork — our way of using the literal power of the
press to change the world. These reproduction postcards
faithfully capture the designs of the broadsides in an postcard back
affordable, portable format.

Chandler received her BFA from the Rhode Island
School of Design, and is the proprietor of an illustration
