Langmatz signal requesting devices – for crossing the road safely. Buttons from Langmatz: wait for the signal! For more than 30 years, Langmatz has been making a contribution to improved road safety with its innovative products. In this field, we supply modern signal requesting devices for traffic light installations in a variety of designs, in addition to acoustic signal- ling devices and SOS/emergency call buttons for road tunnels. Pedestrian signal requesting devices from Langmatz can be used by pedestrians to request a green signal at traffic light installations, while the signalling status can be communicated to visually impaired people through both acoustic and haptic signals. All over the world, people put their trust in signal requesting devices from Langmatz. We gave these devices the name “guide” – after all, they lead, guide and direct pedestrians. The signal request is entirely reliable regardless of the weather conditions, and the devices can even be operated while wearing gloves. We offer three different device variants, all equipped with extensive basic functions. We ensure safety! Advantages • Universal voltage • Easy to install on all pole diameters • Multifunctional configuration options • Secured against vandalism without accessories • Approved by all major signal engineering firms 3
Our entry-level variant: The EK 424 easyguide is a simple 155 mm device for pedestrians and cyclists. A tried-and-tested signal requesting device with basic central functions for an ideal price/performance ratio. Our basic variant: The EK 524 basicguide is a signal requesting device for pedestrians and visually impaired people which features pre-defined standard settings. An integrated loudspeaker is 197 mm optional. The basicguide can be used in combination with the EK 98 Acoustic doublic. Adjusted to the traffic noise, this enables independent output of the orientation sound and/or pedestrian crossing signal – even without a signal requesting device. Our high-end variant: The high-end EK 533 crossguide device is already known in Germany as the “talking traffic light”. The device for pedestrians and visually impaired people is able to control 256 mm the volume of the acoustic signals to match the time of day and traffic noise. What’s so special about it: voice an- nouncements and signals can be individually entered and played back. The acoustic technology is pre-installed. We supply an acoustic signalling device as an added extra. Our tunnel variant: 250 mm The EK 534 SOS/emergency call button ensures the safety of road users in tunnels. Acoustic feedback of up to 85 dB is possible (in accordance with RABT guidelines). Custom-de- fined texts for visual feedback can be entered. 4
Signal requesting device EK 533 Safe mobility for pedestrians and the visually impaired with one device The crossguide is an innovative product with tried and tested properties. All requirements are met by one device. Traffic noise-dependant acoustics are already integrated. It offers protection against vandalism due to its compact and sturdy design. It is not only visually attractive, but also particularly low-maintenance and easy to install. With its tested technology, the crossguide sets new benchmarks for standards-compliant pedestrian requesting devices. Signal requesting device EK 524 Signal request with tactile signalling for the visually impaired With fixed standard settings, tactile crossing signal for the visually impaired and an optional integrated loudspeaker, the basicguide is the reliable basic variant for every traffic light system. Signals are requested either using a large-surface push-button or via a capacitive sensor – even with gloves on. Changes in the sensor’s request zone such as chewing gum or a film of ice are treated as part of the resonant circuit after a single request. This prevents a continuous request from occurring. It is also an especially reliable and standards-compliant solution as a spare part. Advantages Flexibility • Universal voltage device, 20–253 V basicguide • Suitable for all conventional pole diameters Stability and reliability • UV-resistant polycarbonate housing, without adhesive • High resistance to vandalism, without requiring additional parts • Temperature-resistant from -25 °C to +60 °C • Approved by all major signal engineering firms • Satisfies DIN 32981:2018-06, EN 50293 Easy installation • Pole installation using screws, without removing the vibrator unit • Stainless steel protection against vandalism integrated • Coloured connection wires with assigned functions • As a replacement for existing systems, matches most existing pole drill holes Functions • Signal request optionally via push-button with isolated micro switch with pivot bearing or sensor (dynamic capacitive) • Optical feedback with flashing function (adjustable) • Tactile release signal for the visually impaired via pulsed vibrating push-button • Optional internal loudspeaker for an orientation sound (connection to an external acoustic device, e.g. doubLIC EK 98, required) 10

Acoustic signalling device for crossguide Guide and/or pedestrian crossing signal output The acoustic signalling device is tailored to the needs of visually impaired people. Used in conjunction with the crossguide signal requesting device, it ensures that the crossing signal is emitted in the direction of the pedestrian crossing. A second loudspeaker ensures the pole is found safely by emitting an orientation sound downwards. Since the acoustic signalling device does not contain its own electronics, existing systems with crossguide signal requesting devices can be retrofitted inexpensively. The tone is generated and set in the crossguide. Advantages Acoustic signalling device • Output of the guide and/or pedestrian crossing signal from one housing in accordance with DIN 32981 • Actuation by the crossguide signal requesting device • Compact design • Easy to install without opening the housing • Electrical connection by connecting two wire pairs • Coloured connection cable for easy recognition • Different colours and versions for pole, signal chamber and cross arm installation • Simple and inexpensive retrofitting of existing crossguide signal requesting devices • Optional cross arm for installation of one or two signalling devices with freely adjustable orientation angle Variants Version Version Version Pole installation Pole installation with cross arm Installation in signal chamber 16
