Creativity & Innovation Creative Thinking and Innovation are considered key skills that everyone needs to manage the Volatile, Uncertain, Complex, and Ambiguous (VUCA) business environment of today. Employees at all levels need to THINK differently by generating innovative solutions to manage challenges. It is only with such a mindset that individuals and teams in the workplace can fully seize the opportunities that are available. Creativity is all about improving processes, product and services. It is about solving problems and generating ideas to meet the unmet needs of our stakeholders. Creative thinking integrates design thinking to get things done. Developing a creative thinking mindset requires the acceptance that creative thinking can be learned and applied in a systematic manner in all aspects and activities. This programme is designed to enable participants to master the creative thinking tools and techniques that will allow them to embrace a new perspective at work. Participants will explore the 5 I’s of Innovation, and learn how to apply them in their day to day role. The programme includes the use of the Basadur Creative Problem Solving/Innovation Profile, aimed at helping individuals understand and take full advantage of their creative thinking strengths. The profile measures a person’s unique blend of preferences over four stages of the creativity and innovation process - Generating, Conceptualising, Optimising and Implementing. www.creativityas ia.com 3
