THIS MEANS: • • • • • • • • • • Flush the toilet with the lid down • • • Getting Tested for COVID-19 Before completion of the 14-day quarantine period, students must be tested for COVID-19. All new students will be instructed to get tested for COVID –19 during day 5 of their quarantine period. There are many COVID -19 assessment center locations in Toronto and the surrounding area. Some convenient locations are listed below: A Covid-19 test is mandatory. I will arrange to have a Covid test done no later than day 5 of quarantine and provide the results by Day 9 of quarantine to my student services advisor via the emergency phone at 647 906 4212. You will have the Covid-19 test done at the COVID 19 Assessment Centre closest to your quarantine accommodation. Some locations of COVID 19 Assessment Centres are provided in the COVID 19 Student Guide. You must take private transportation (taxi, not communal with family or friends) to and from the appointment. If you do not have the resources to get there you will alert the student services at canada@thelanguagegallery.com and we will arrange transportation. We have made arrange- ments with Five Star Homestay Agency, where you will be picked up and dropped off at your quarantine location for an additional fee of $70- $100 per student. No other stops will be made on this day, only the hospital triage trailer and I will wear a face covering or mask the entire trip. Please note that failure to abide by the instructions above is considered an offence under the Quarantine Act. Maximum penalties include a fine of up to $750,000 and/or imprisonment for six months. If you are tested negative for COVID 19 prior to leaving your home country, you are not exempt from following mandatory quarantine procedures once you arrive in Canada. 1.
