INVOCATION
We are gathered here in celebration of our graduates
and of Mohawk College.
May the graduates, their families and friends, our
Mohawk Governors and our staff, collectively and
individually, continue to seek the strength to put
forward in our minds:
All great and good thoughts, intended to unite us.
All generous thoughts, intended to make us
celebrate the achievement of others.
All charitable thoughts, intended to make us
sensitive to the needs and feelings of others.
May we together invoke all caring, brave,
and meaningful acts which are worthy of our
true selves.
May we think in truth and in love.
May we act in honesty and in honour.
May we seek out the best in everyone.
And, in doing so, may we find fulfillment,
peace, and joy.

THE GRADUATES
Graduates, today you are admitted into the
fellowship of graduates of Ontario Colleges, an
honour bestowed only upon those who have met
high standards of conduct and learning.
In the name of Mohawk College, therefore I hereby
charge you:
• To safeguard the dignity and ethics of our
fellowship;
• To cultivate the spirit of inquiry and innovation;
• To celebrate your role as a local and global
citizen;
• To maintain, through study, the fresh viewpoint
expected in an age of rapid advancement; and
• To contribute, in all these ways, to society, in
order that the dignity of humankind, through you,
may be constantly reaffirmed.

CONGRATULATIONS
SPRING 2022 GRADUATES
Congratulations to the graduating class of 2022 from all of us at
Mohawk College. Like your families, we are proud of all that you
have accomplished, and we are so happy to be able to celebrate this
moment with you in person.
Today, you join the ranks of more than 140,000 Mohawk alumni who
have been making their mark and making a difference since the
college first opened its doors in 1967.
Graduating from college marks the beginning of a new and
exciting chapter in your life. The journey ahead will be filled with
opportunities, and a few challenges, but the lessons you have learned
and the experiences you have gained from your time at Mohawk will
serve you well, and we are confident that you will be successful no
matter where life takes you.
It was a privilege to educate and serve you as a student and we
cannot wait to see what you will accomplish next.

Mohawk College Graduating Class of 2022
On behalf of the City of Hamilton and Council, I am honoured to congratulate you, the
Mohawk College graduating classes of 2022.
You are graduating from this very well known and respected educational institution to a
bright future. Mohawk has a great track record for graduate success, in careers such as
infrastructure professionals, leaders in green technology, health care experts and so
much more.
Like you, I am a graduate of Mohawk College. I take great pride in my connection to this
great school and look back with fond memories. I am so thankful to those who mentored
me and provided the tools I needed to have a successful career in the city I love.
You are starting a new chapter in your life, one that will enable you to further develop
and define your skills. More than ever, the world needs you and the skills you bring.
I encourage you to leave your mark, help build up your community and become citizens
who care about and positively impact our City. We are all very proud of you.
