Conclusions from CSO analysis of Kilmallock: Marginal population growth 2011 – 2016,a 0.65% increase The elderly dependency is higher in comparison to Ballyhoura, City and County There are 185 foreign nationals living in Kilmallock Ethnic groups include; 135 Irish travellers and 43 Asian/ Asian Irish A significantly large proportion (18.61%) of the working aged population were classified as being unemployed Education; 621 individuals are classified as no formal education (37); primary (245); and lower secondary (339) Conversely, the number of third level graduates is considerably lower (268) 17% or 483 people with a disability Pobal Deprivation Index, Kilmallock is classified as being largely a disadvantaged community
