THE GREENS & VIEWS ISSUE 1 2021 COMMUNITY NEWS Safety in unity: stronger together Slowly but surely, life in our city is marching back to normalcy – and it’s our responsibility to ensure we take the precautions that support our government’s tireless efforts. While you wear masks and practice social distancing, we urge you to remember the below guidelines. 1. Household staff must wear their masks properly (covering their nose and mouth) at all times in the community. 2. Gathering of staff members from different households in the common areas is not permitted. 3. Social distancing of at least 3 metres must be adhered to at all times in common areas. 4. Personal items like bicycles, shoes, and strollers should not be left outside the home. To ensure a safe environment for everyone, staff members found to be in repeated violation of these guidelines will be asked to leave the amenity.

THE GREENS & VIEWS ISSUE 1 2021 COMMUNITY NEWS P-leash follow this rule! Your community loves pets. We understand that they’re an important member of your family. But when it comes to walking them in the community, we must insist on leashes. Let’s tell you why a leash is important: 1. Consideration – Elderly residents, young children, individuals with allergies and others might be intimidated by pets’ exploratory behaviour. 2. Safety – Startled pets may suddenly run onto roads without warning or cross paths with cyclists, which is a major safety hazard. 3. Health – Wandering pets might nibble on landscaping – but a number of plants native to the city are not friendly to pets’ tummies. 4. It is the law – Walking a dog without a leash is punishable with a fine of AED 10,000. Fines can reach AED 100,000 if the pet is involved in an attack.
