Colston’s Netball & Hockey Tour to Singapore and Malaysia
     Summer 2019 - Provisional Itinerary and Payment Schedule

Day1: Inflight|Kuala Lumpur
Leave from school on coach and travel to airport (London Heathrow or Birmingham Airport)
three hours prior to departure in preparation for check in for overnight flight to Kuala
Lumpur.
Overnight: Inflight

Day2: Kuala Lumpur
Arrive into Kuala Lumpur; and meet Living with the Lions
guide and transfer to hotel for three night’s accommodation.
Rest of the day is free to explore the local area, shopping
centres and restaurants close to the hotel.
Overnight: Federal 4* Hotel

Day 3: Kuala Lumpur
After breakfast take the Kuala Lumpur city tour and view stunning sights such as the King’s
Palace, Merdeka (Independence) Square, the Petronas Twin Towers, National Museum,
National Mosque and the Royal Selangor Visitor Center. Some free time for lunch before
transferring to first fixtures of the tour.
MATCH DAY 1
After the match enjoy a get together with your opposition before heading back to the hotel.

Day 4: Kuala Lumpur
This morning, after breakfast, depart on an excursion to FRIM
& The Batu Caves.
FRIM is known as Forest Research Institution of Malaysia,
covering up to 600 hectors of well-managed forest. There are
jungle trails and a walkway canopy hanging 30 meters from
the ground expanding over a distance of 200 meters with four
viewing platforms. Batu Caves is a Hindu Temple located at
the outskirt of Kuala Lumpur City. These limestone caves are
400 million years old. There is a total of 272 steps leading up
to the top of the main cave temple. The world’s tallest Lord
Muruga Statue with the height of 42.7m (130 feet high) is
located here.
Lunch then transfer to fixtures.
MATCH DAY 2
After the match socialise with your opposition before heading
back to the hotel.

Day 5: Kuala Lumpur
Enjoy breakfast and check out before transferring on
a full day fun excursion to Sunway Lagoon, Theme
Park. With over 80 attractions sprawling across 88
acres of land, Sunway Lagoon boasts a water park,
Wildlife Park, theme park and much more.
Afterwards, transfer to Ipoh and check into the new
hotel for 2 night’s accommodation. Enjoy some free
time to explore the local area & shopping centre.
Overnight: Weil 4* Hotel

Day 6: Ipoh
After breakfast the group will go out on a community visit, this could be a visit to a local
disadvantaged school, children’s hospital or orphanage – these types of visits often cost the
least but have the biggest impact!
Later that afternoon, transfer to your next set of fixtures.
MATCH DAY 3
Exchange post-match pleasantries with your hosts. Return to hotel at the end of the day

Day 7: Ipoh | Penang
In the morning enjoy breakfast before checking
out and transferring to Penang (3 hours 30
minutes). On route to Penang stop and visit the
Orangutan Sanctuary where we will be able to
view these amazing creatures up close.
Arrive in Penang and check into the hotel for
two nights, before visiting the local beach or
using the hotel pool

Day 8: Penang
After breakfast enjoy a guided city tour of Penang. Commonly referred to as the Pearl of
the Orient, Penang is one of Asia’s famous islands, which is deep in culture and covered in
beautiful beaches. It was recently declared as an
UNESCO World Heritage Site so there is much to
discover. Afterwards, we have the afternoon free
to relax on the beach or get some last minute
souvenirs before enjoying our final evening in
Malaysia.

Day 9: Penang | Singapore
After breakfast, check out of the hotel and transfer to
Penang airport for the flight to Singapore.
On arrival we will be met and transferred to our hotel
for the final two nights of the tour. We are free to
explore the local area that afternoon before getting
ready for an evening excursion.
We will be picked up and transferred to the Night
Safari Tour of Singapore including dinner. Night
Safari is an entire open-air zoo set in a humid tropical
forest that is only open at night. It is divided into
seven geographical zones, which can be explored
either on foot via four walking trails, or by tram. Transfer back to the hotel at the end of the
evening.

Day 10: Singapore
After breakfast, we will depart on a guided city tour of Singapore.
We will have the opportunity to visit the highlights of the city which can include Padang, The
Esplanade and Merlion, a mythical beast, Singapore ‘s original half lion, half fish. ThianHock
Keng Temple, Botanic Garden -National Orchid
Garden & Little India.
Return to the hotel and enjoy some free time to
get lunch). In the afternoon we will transfer to the
final matches of the tour.
MATCH DAY 4
After the match enjoy a get together with your
opposition before returning to the hotel.
Overnight: Peninsula Hotel 4*Hotel

Day 11: Inflight
Check out of the hotel that morning and transfer to Singapore Airport for your return flight
back to the UK.

Day 12: UK
On arrival at Heathrow or Birmingham Airport, reclaim your luggage, clear customs and
immigration and board the coach back to School.
