CITY OF CRESCENT CITY Invites you to apply for RV PARK SUPERVISOR $16.36 — $19.89 HOURLY SALARY AND EXCELLENT BENEFIT PACKAGE The City of Crescent City is seeking a RV Park Supervisor at Lighthouse Cove RV Park. GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: The RV Park Supervisor classification is a full-time position that works under the Director Economic Development/ Recreation in supervising and maintaining Lighthouse Cove RV Park. This position will be expected to perform all aspects of customer service as well as the ability to perform a variety of skilled and manual tasks in routine maintenance and landscaping of Lighthouse Cove RV Park. Direct responsibilities include planning, scheduling, and directing daily operation of the RV Park, activities and services in a timely manner. The RV Park Supervisor may perform other related work duties as required and within the scope of this classification to assist in the furthering and advancement of City goals and objectives associated with RV Parks and tourism. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Customer Service: Communicates extensively with the general public, City staff, outside agencies and businesses to promote Lighthouse Cove RV Park and tourism and recreation within Del Norte County and City of Crescent City. Must have the ability to maintain good public relations and customer service skills. Including a friendly, courteous, and enthusiastic attitude, excellent customer service skills at all times; in person, email and via telephone. Assist in the development and implementation of RV Park policies and regulations. Registers and completes reservations for campsites using computer software designed for online reservations. Cash handling and running a cash register. Assist campers with any issues of their campsite. Maintains order and assists in promotion and adherence of City and Departmental rules, regulations, and policies. Instructs and trains new Camp Attendants and volunteers Camp Hosts. Attend in-service training and recreation workshops. Performs a variety of reception, clerical and administrative tasks as necessitated for the RV Park and under direction of the department Director. Will work with the department Director to coordinate, develop, direct, and implement camp programs and activities within the RV Park as well as through partnerships with other organizations. May represent the City at meetings and department meetings and conferences. Investigate and respond to calls, requests, and complaints. May serve on various City committees such as the Safety Committee and/or Wellness Committee. Flexible work hours, this RV Park is open 7 days a week.
Maintenance: Is responsible for maintaining over-all cleanliness of the Lighthouse Cove RV Park office, laundry room, showers, and restrooms (Including but not limited to sweeping, mopping, dusting, scrubbing, washing windows, walls, fixtures, etc.). Picks up litter and debris around Lighthouse Cove RV Park and tends to house-keeping at campsites after campers check out. Empties trash cleans wastebaskets and trash containers. Plants, waters, weeds, mows, and fertilizes grass. Plants, fertilizes, cultivates, waters and sprays flowers, shrubs, and other plants. Operates power mowers, weed eaters and power tools. Maintains equipment used in the course of work. Performs minor building maintenance. QUALIFICATIONS: (The following are minimal qualifications necessary for this job position. Any combination of education and experience which would provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities may be qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required qualifications would be: Minimum Age: Must be 18 years or older Education: High School Diploma or equivalent to the 12th grade. Experience: A combination of education, experience and/or training which demonstrates the required knowledge and ability to successfully perform the job duties. License/Certificate: A California Driver’s License or equivalent, if a resident of another state and a satisfactory driving record are conditions of initial and continued employment. Background: Candidate must be able to pass a livescan, physical and drug testing. WORKING CONDITIONS: Lighthouse Cove RV Park is open 7 days per week. There is a need for a park attendant to be on the premises at all times, including nights. For the convenience of the employer, camp attendants that are assigned night shifts will be provided either an RV space to park an RV/trailer (utilities included) or the apartment on the premises for the convenience of the employer. FINAL FILING DATE: 5:00 p.m., Thursday, January 20, 2022. _______________________________________________________________________________ Wage and Benefits Hourly Wage: $16.36 — $19.89/hr. Retirement: PERS 2.5% @ 55 for classic members; 2% @ 62 for new members. Employee pays 8% PERS member contribution. Health: The City provides up to $1,540.00/month in a flexible benefit plan to apply towards health benefits, including medical, dental, vision, air ambulance, long-term disability, and life insurance. Vacation Leave: Vacation is accrued at 4 hours biweekly upon employment and increases with time in service. There is an accumulation limit. Sick Leave: Sick leave is accrued at 4 hours biweekly with an accumulation limit. Holidays: 12 paid holidays per year. Although benefits have been reported as accurately as possible, there has been no guarantee of complete benefit summary intended.
