Welcome A warm welcome to all competitors, grooms, sponsors and spectators to the International Horse Trials here at Chilham Castle. We would like to acknowledge our amazingly loyal team of sponsors who have supported us, particularly over the 18 months.Their help enables us to run the events to the highest possible standard. Dressage on the Lawn returns for the CCI class; and to the lake field for the national classes. We can highly recommend spending some time enjoy the spectacle of the International dressage competition from the terraced lawns with the stunning backdrop of the Stour valley. Showjumping is situated at the top of the estate, with stunning views of Chilham Castle. The cross country course alternates direction once again to run clockwise from a starting point below the lorry park. It incorporates the newly cleared area in the north-west corner of the estate. Thanks to all of hard work of the team here at the castle the park is looking at its very best. Scott Brickell has designed super courses which will test the riders whilst making the most of the beautiful surroundings. To all spectators with trade stands, food outlets and plenty of horses there is something for everyone to enjoy. Lastly to everyone here, have fun and enjoy. Ali Ferry Organiser SPECIAL THANKS I would like to offer a special ‘thank-you’ to all of the volunteers who have given so generously of their time and energy in both the preparation and running of this event. I would also like to acknowledge the hard work of the Chilham BE Committee, Adrian Ditcham and Scott Brickell as well as the officials and staff at British Eventing. Finally, thank-you to all of the Chilham Castle estate staff for your support. Ali This event could not run without each and every one of you.
